In a place, that is just white in every direction, akin to the Matrix's weapon room but without a floor, we see the here of this tale, with his black and white hair, and his red and gold eyes, wearing his usual outfit of black pants, black boots, black gloves, a shirt split down the middle with red on his left and gold on his right to match his eyes, a black-lined white jacket on top of it and a long coat on top of that, identical if not for its length and inverted colors
He sits there, floating in this endless white void, hand on his chin in a thinking position as he stares at three pictures, each one looking somewhat similar, in that they're all the "Akame ga Kill!" artwork used for this story's cover, but each one also has one major detail different
The first picture is as normal, the members of Night Raid all standing there, looking wherever they're looking or walking wherever they're walking, but in addition, Calin himself is in this picture alongside them
The second picture is much like the first, Calin is in this one as well, what makes it different from the first is the Tatsumi in this picture, namely that this Tatsumi is both "cuter" and more "Shapely", in case you hadn't guessed yes this is a female Tatsumi we're talking about
The third picture is like neither of the first two because there is no Tatsumi in it, male or female, in their place is simply Calin
Calin:Y'know I think I'd prefer the third one if only so my wrecking canon isn't as much of a mess, but I could probably work with it, however, it turns out, whether I'm there alongside Tatsumi, there alongside whatever a genderbent version of Tatsumi's name would be, or whether I myself am Tatsumi for storytelling purposes, though again, taking Tatsumi's place would definitely be less messy than trying to jam my way into canon alongside them, welp, either way, I'll leave it to you readers to help make my choice, keep in mind that while your opinions count and I'll be listening more to anybody who states why they hold their opinion than simply the one who states their opinion, the vote also isn't absolute since I have a favorite, either way, hope y'all start commenting, once chapter 1 is posted (since this chapter is basically a placeholder) the decision will have been made, but that's not gonna be for a while, I'll be looking forward to then and I hope you all will too, I'm looking forward to it
