Elle POV

I couldn't believe what I saw in front of me. 6 years later, it still looked and felt the same. Lee, Rachel and I were only supposed to visit the carnival to see how things were going and revisit our high school days, but, this wasn't remotely what I was expecting.

Lee and Rachel were back in Los Angeles after finishing college and boy, was I glad. It was as if nothing had changed. Lee and I were in a great place as always, Rachel and I were closer than we've ever been and I even got the good news that I would finally be the best woman at my BFF's wedding.

A plethora of emotions ran through me as I saw The Kissing Booth standing in front me, just the way I remembered it, in all its fine glory.

"They're still doing this" Lee exclaimed, surprise laced all over his voice. His expression was priceless. I hugged him, as we laughed at the sight in front of us.

"Yeah, can't believe they kept at it" I chimed in, soon feeling lost in all the memories. As Rachel leaned into Lee, I smiled to myself happy for them to have found their way back to each other, after all this time. Not everyone is as lucky.

Staring at the kissing booth in front of me, it didn't feel like any time had passed. It felt like just yesterday when Lee and I organized our first kissing booth in junior year. Seeing the school keep up with it after all this time felt surreal.

The Kissing Booth. The place where it all began.  My first kiss, with someone I knew I hadn't stopped loving. That moment flashed before my eyes - when I lifted my eye-mask and saw Noah in front of me, kissing me and then telling me what a good job I did.

As I stared at the participants going at it, I couldn't help but reminisce the time when I was up there and had my first kiss. I felt the same thrill and rush I felt when I as up there having my first kiss

"Look at them" Rachel's address brought me out of my musings, albeit briefly. I laughed seeing Lee's horrified expression as the kids at the booth were kissing as if there were no tomorrow.

I let my mind wander back to the day. Kissing Noah Flynn. All those emotions I felt that day came right back and I let myself bask in them. It was a magical day. And to think, it was almost 7 years ago.

Just taking in everything that was this carnival, I was transported back to high school. As I glanced around, my eyes stopped at a familiar figure approaching me from a little distance. Someone who I could recognize even with with closed eyes.

"Hey Shelly"

Noah. After all this time, I couldn't believe my eyes. God knows the urge I was suppressing to jump into his arms. But, instead.

"Hi Noah" I smiled at him as he stopped in front of me.

As Lee and Rachel made their way towards us, it felt like the last summer at the beach house all over again. Just us.

"Hey, we were thinking of getting some churros. So we'll catch up with you guys later?" He was making it so obviously awkward. Classic Lee. We were all laughing. Some things just don't change.

"Wow" Noah exclaimed sheepishly looking at the booth with the same amazement as me as I continued giggling.

"Can you believe it?"

"No, I don't wanna look at that" he commented laughing.

"It's been a long time."

"Yeah" he smiled.

"You look so business-y" I said sneakily checking him out.

"Oh yeah. Don't let the suit fool you, I am pretty much still a rebel. Last week, left work 20 mins early." Yeupp. He was ranting. He did that amidst nervous energy and well, that was pretty rare for Noah to be like, in front of me that to. At least it wasn't just me.
