Opposite's Don't Attract

Cole saw the scythe he had been training for, and seemed about to attack the yard when someone started laughing. 

"This is priceless!" Said a voice that sounded around his age when a calmer voice interjected, "Kai, that is inapropriate at the moment, we are assisting him."  Cole felt like his brain would explode at any moment, who were these people? 

Well before he could get answers, the newly named Kai shot back "Well I'm sorry sir wet blanket! I mean seriously Zane, what's wrong with having fun?"

 Zane then began arguing with him and Cole watched in a daze. Zane seemed to collect him self and addressed Cole, saying, "Greetings, we have come to assist you, we are your fairy-god-brothers...

" "Wait wait wait!" Kai snapped, there is no way we are calling ourselves that! How about the awesome ninja dudes instead?!" 

Zane rolled his eyes and continued, "We have been blessed with elemental abilities as you have, and have chosen to use them to assist those who are in need, like yourself," 

Cole was confused, but using their powers of fire and ice, the two created a carrage for him, and a gi like one he had never seen before. The gi had golden knight armor and finally he was given a scythe of pure gold.

 They broke his chains, so he was able to use his elemental power for the first time in years! Not only that, but this scythe only responded to the power of earth, so Cole was the only one who could use it.

 Lastly, the elemental energy in the gi would stop anyone but Pixal, Skylor, and the girl he had met from reconizing him. 

After the transformation was finished Kai told Cole, "you should know " that this will only last untill midnight, and then it will vanish." Cole was a bit aknerved at this and didn't even notice Zane shaking his head rapidly, Getting into the carrage, and the coachman took off.

 As soon as Cole was gone, Zane lost all control and shouted at Kai, "What was that for!!? YOU KNOW AS WELL AS I DO WE CAN MAKE IT PERMANENT!" 

Kai explained, "this is the answer! I know for a fact the girl he met was princess Vania, so he leaves at midnight and leaves the scythe behind, Vania picks it up and looks for the person who dropped it, it will glow when they are dancing, so she will know it glows for her mystery someone.

 The only reason it glows is because Cole is the elemental master of earth, so she comes to this house, it glows for Cole, and everyone lives happily ever after!" Zane face palmed, but what are you going to do?

Cole arrived at the ivory palace, gasping at the splendor. The young boy walked through the entry way, and everyone turned as hutchens anounnced, "presenting the black ninja!" 

Cole's eyes widened at the wonder around him, but that wasn't important at the moment, he had to see if his friends were safe, but he was excited to see two particular girls. They charged at him, and Cole gave both Pixal and Skylor a big hug.

 They explained that the Geckles and Munce were fine, and having the time of their lives, which made Cole smile, and then Cole saw someone walking towards him, and his inhaled sharply.

 Vania was bored, she wasn't allowed to talk to the guests, or read passages from her favorite author: Clutch Powers, she had to wait and dance with boys who didn't interest her. 

All the people she met were the rich and famous people of the country, none of them liked the things she liked, it was very boring.

 But she gasped as the mysterious boy took off his mask, it was that boy she had met while sneaking out of the palace! His eyes locked with hers, Vania felt light and airy, like she could fly!

 Vania practicly hopped over there, and one of the girls he was talking to to said, "We'll leave you alone with you girlfriend," making him turn to Vania, the most adorable shade of red. 

His other freind scolded her, but Vania practicely glowed, she covered the distance between them and said excitedly, "You're here! I can't believe it!" He smiled at Vania's enthusiasm and replied, "I'm a bit suprised myself."

 No matter what happened, no one could keep Vania away. The two spent the entire evening side by side, talking and laughing together.

 As they talked, Vania noticed his scythe glowed gold, but wasn't sure what it meant. Cole thourouly enjoyed himself, but noticed it was almost midnight. 

"I have to go," he said to the girl he was now sure had captured his heart, and took off, running as fast as he could.

 He knew Vania was chasing him, but he couldn't look back, tripping on the steps, when he picked himself up, he had no idea he had dropped the scythe, but he continued running, when he got far enough away from the palace, he stopped to catch his breath and saw his finery disappear.

 That's when Cole realized he had dropped the scythe, he felt bad about it, but there really wasn't much he could do. He hiked the rest of the way "home" to greet his step-family and the Geckles and Munce when they arrived. 

Cole felt bad for his friends that were now being treated badly again, but he had to be at attention.

 Vania dashed as fast as she could, being sevearly out of breath, but the only thing she could find was the golden scythe, however, she had noticed it glowed only when he was touching it. Vania marched back into the palace, she had a plan to find her mystery boy.

 "Vania!" Jay shouted, The older girl smiled and ruffled the little boy's hair, to which Jay protested, "Stop that!" 

This made Vania grin, and she went to her parents, Jay following at her heels, and she announced, "May I have you permission to find the boy who owns this scythe?" Ed and Edna looked at each other smiling, and gave her permission.
