CHAPTER 8: To Test Her.

Mezo's POV...

"She's mine now!!!" I told Moh with so much excitement.

"Seriously??" Him in disbelief.

"Bro, do I sound joking around?"

"Mashaallah..! Mabrook bro!"

"Thanks bro! I also can't believe, but..."I felt hesitant to say the next words.

"Bro..don't you think it's unfair for her?"

Then I remembered my conversation with him over the phone last night before I went to bring the cake for Muriel.

(Flashback...)

"Bro where are you?? I've been calling you for hourssss! Moh on the phone.

"I just dropped someone home."

"Muriel??" I was shocked hearing him knowing her name.

"How do you know her name?"

"Oh come on bro..you know me.." I can imagine him with a smirk.

"Oh yeah..I shouldn't be surprise. When it comes to girls..." I was teasing him back.

"So..have you scored?"

"Scored what?" I was like raising my eyebrow.

"Whaaaat?! Are you kidding me? Woman like that is easy..come on!"

"No bro. Don't say that." I felt a bit annoyed with him but tried to sound calm.

Eventhough I've been into a steamy scenario with Muriel last night, I don't think it's right for anyone to judge her. Being true to yourself and to your feelings is not a shameful thing. And that's just what happened to me and her. Being true.

"Trust me bro. I know that type."

"Do you think so?" me still trying to sound normal.

"Yesss! Why don't you try?"

"I don't need to. I can feel she's not like what you think." I made sure to sound confident with my words about her.

"How did you know? You sounds pretty sure."

"I...I just feel."

"I've known from my source that you just met her this morning as an applicant..so how come you seems pretty sure about her?" He sounded like seeking for more.

"Not really. I've met her yesterday. Today is the second time. And it was kinda destiny....?"

"Woooh...you just sounded boring bro! Ha! Ha! Ha!" He's teasing me. Anything about true love...destiny..etc..is boring for him. Because he said that he never fell for anyone seriously. Well, not yet may be.

"No bro. Actually, she seems like someone I've already known before. My first glace at her, I thought she was Mona."

"Whaaat!?! Don't tell me she just caught your attention because you see her as your ex Mona?!" This man sounds loud.

Mona is my ex who left Qatar few month ago. Its fair to say that she's someone really special to me....may be up this time?

"I don't know bro. But you have seen her. Don't you think they look alike?" I told him on a conformative note.

"No! Ofcourse not. Know what..I think you have a problem. Bro listen. If you wanna be sure, why don't you try yourself, or may be try her aswell?"

"What do you mean?" I got a little confused with his statement.

"I mean go for her to check what you really feel."

"We'll get into that bro. But not so soon. All I know now is that she looks like her and I feel that she's as pure as her also."

"Tsk! tsk! tsk! Up to you bro..but better be careful. If neither of you fall for each other sooner or later, I think there will be trouble ahead. Just saying." Him again.

I can feel he is concern. He have seen me the day after Mona left. He knows how devastated I was.

After ending the call, I've decided to figure out things about how I really feel for Muriel. That's how I ended up in her room and had her as my girlfriend. That fast!

(...end of flashback.)

"Not at all. It's true, she caught my eyes because she looks like my ex. But what I feel for her is beyond her looks bro." I told him after a long while of flashback memory.

"Well that's good to hear. But bro, are you sure about her? I mean, you guys just met days ago and now she's already your girlfriend?" He sounded really doubtful which made me feel irritated thinking that he is really looking down on Muriel, my girlfriend.

"Bro, I can't waste time. I don't know. But I feel like I really like her that much. I feel like I want to love her."

"No! You don't want to love her. Your heart loves her already without your permission. Because that's how it works."---my mind's arguements with the last part of my statement.

"Bro...what if I am right about her? That she is..."

".. an easy girl?" I cut him in annoyance but tried so hard to sound still calm.

"Yes bro. Sorry but, you are my bestfriend. I just don't want to see you on the same state that you were few month ago."

"I know bro. I got it."

"I have a better idea. Let me try her." He told me with a bright eye. As if he's having a really great idea.

"Are you crazy?" I wasn't able to hide the sound of irritation already. Because I really think he is crazy, along with his idea.

"Bro..I'm offering you myself and services for free. The idea is to make sure that she is deserving of whatever feelings you already have for her." He sounded very eager to really pursue his idea.

I am sure I don't like the idea, but for him to stop and somehow, to prove also to him that I picked and always pick a great woman, I agreed with his plan...

..to test Muriel.
