After arriving back home later that day, Alisa found it nearly impossible to relax. She was angry. She knew who she wanted to take it out on, but she wasn't sure where to find the boy. He couldn't get away with treating JJ like that. No matter what the kid did to Toppers boat, nobody deserved a beat down for something so simple.

Alisa lifted herself from her bed and threw a light cardigan over her pajamas that consisted of sweat shorts and a tank top. She slipped on a pair of sandals before making her way down the stairs.

There, at the base of the stairwell, was Jamie. She rolled her eyes and moved to shove past him but instead, he stuck his arm out, blocking her path.

"And just where might you be going?" He asked.

"None of your business. Now move." She snapped but he didn't. Instead he stood stock still in front of her.

"You know, why do you keep coming back? It's an honest question. You know Sharon and Chris don't want you. You know we all hate you. You're nothing like us. Why don't you just leave? You're 18. You can do it." He said.

"Because I have no where else to go; otherwise I'd be gone already, dickwad." She snapped, a sharp crack was heard as his hand lashed out to strike her cheek, hard enough to make her grip the railing of the stairwell, her skin stinging as it split near the corner of her eye.

"Don't talk to me like that, stupid cunt. You may live here, but you're not family. You're just useless and a waste of space." He spat.

She needed to get out of there. While holding a hand to her face, she shoved him out of her way, bolting for the front door and escaping into the night.

Tears rolled down her cheeks as she made it through the gates of Tannyhill. She thought about going to the front door, but she didn't want to risk any of Sarah's family members seeing the way she looked at the moment.

So instead, she had a better idea. She had work in the morning anyway, so she snuck out to the My Druthers, pulling herself up onto the vessel and into the cabin. It was pitch black inside, and the air was cool. She didn't turn on any of the electronics on the boat, for fear of being caught.

Instead, she went back out onto the deck of the yacht, taking a seat on the surface and hugging her knees to her chest as she looked up at the night sky.

Her peace would soon be interrupted.

"What the fuck are you doing out here?" Rafe's voice came from the dock.

"I don't have the energy for this right now Rafe." She said without looking in his direction, only hearing as he climbed up onto the deck. "Please just leave me alone or I'll find somewhere else to go if you can't." She said.

She heard nothing from him, only feeling his presence grow closer as he crouched beside her.

He took her face in between his fingers, tilting her head so that she was looking at him, his eyes drawn to the reddened patch of skin near her eye and the small cut that went along with it.

His jaw tensed and his eyes flickered with anger for a moment.

"Who did this to you?" He asked lowly.

She pushed his hand away and turned her head the other direction so that she wasn't facing him.

"It doesn't matter." She said.

"Of course it fucking matters, Sheridan. Who the fuck hit you? Was it one of those fucking Pogues?" He snapped.

"No, Rafe! It was Jamie!" She snapped, looking back over at him as shock filled his features.

"This happens a lot, doesn't it?" He said after a moment of silence passed between them. Alisa couldn't say anything, instead she just nodded.

Rafe couldn't tell if he was more mad that someone had hurt or, or that he wasn't the one to do it. His mind swarmed with contorted, fucked up thoughts and ideas, and he knew he needed his fix to get rid of them.

"You can stay on the boat tonight. I won't tell my dad. Just don't get caught and don't be fucking stupid." He said before standing and taking his leave.

"If it happens again, I'll kill that son of a bitch myself." He spoke, not even sure if she could hear him, but it was more of a self promise anyway.
