by the way, i just picked out a random name for george's brother. i hope you guys don't mind— anyways, hope you enjoy!
. . . + . . . + . . .

george and dream were one of the healthiest couples that you could ever see. the two of them fit each other like a jigsaw puzzle.

this would be the first time that dream would ever meet george's family.

"so... are you nervous?" george asked him, wringing his hands out of nerves. dream snorted and replied, "nah! i'm pretty sure i'll be fine." george shrugged and opened the door to his house and was immediately squeezed to death by his mother. his father stood behind her, staring into dream's soul. george could barely hear his brother over the loud noises of his family's constant chattering and decided to hide under his older brother's 'safety net', aka behind him.

"awww! georgie, he's so handsome!!" his mother cooed, trying to mess with his boyfriend's hair. his father looked him over and squinted his eyes, thinking to himself.

"why, darling, why don't you sit down? chris, please fetch some tea for us," his mother called. his brother beckoned george to follow him, making their way into the kitchen.

his parents were neat-freaks. anything out of place would make them go crazy. everything had to be perfect, so it really wasn't a surprise to see things so well-put together.

"so.. how did you meet this 'dream' fella?" chris asked, pulling out an antique tray of tea cups. he inserted a few tea bags into boiling water, barely stirring them around to blend the tea leaves into the water.

"well, we actually met in the university's coding class. we both really like technology, so.. yeah." george explained. his brother hummed; george could already tell that his brother was not impressed.

"i think you could've done better." he bluntly told him. george sighed. he had seen this coming— probably long before he even popped out of the womb.

"i saw that coming." "i know you did." his brother replied. he finally poured the tea into a teapot and placed the kettle into the sink. he turned off the heat and grabbed some sugar and cream.

the two of them had grown up together; chris was only a little taller than dream and he was born three years before george. chris looked more like their dad, meanwhile george looked like their mom. nonetheless, the two were thick as thieves and they— although it was usually george— followed each other around like train cars. chris had easily grown overprotective, as that trait was more obvious on his dad's side, and was the one to usually glare at people until they would shrink back into the shadows that they had come from. he was even protective over george towards his friends— but since he had known them for a few years, he had slowly relaxed around them. so this? this was nothing new.

"now, where did the two of you meet?"

"you better not hurt him, young man—"

"because if you do, i'll kill you!"

george whistled. "are you sure you don't want me to stop them?" dream shook his head and turned back around to face the older couple.

this had gone on for a few more hours until each of them had retired to bed, leaving george and dream to themselves.

"i hope they weren't too harsh on you." george sighed, hugging the taller male. dream shrugged, "my parents will do the same thing, no worries." "well, i better go to bed before chris comes down to kill us. make sure to lock the door on your way out!" he called as he disappeared behind one of the walls. dream grinned and did as he was told, leaving the neighborhood with his trusty old bike.

<<insert time skip>>

"so.. what should we do this time?" dream asked, turning to one of george's other mutual friends, wilbur.

"i think we should dooo... THIS!" wilbur laughed, raising up his phone to capture a platonic kiss onto dream's cheek. dream fake-gagged and jokingly pushed him away. the older male the two of them giggled like school girls, cracking jokes and walking around while they ate their icecream. meanwhile, george's older brother stood behind a wall, his fists clenched.

this was the time to FINALLY catch him! he knew that his younger brother was too good for him and this had proved it, perfect to the t.

he waltzed out from behind the wall and strode up to the two young males, grabbing the collar of dream's shirt and pulled him up to meet his own height.

"how DARE you!" he seethed. dream's eyes grew wide and wilbur was quick to try and break up the fight. people around them began to stare. "I KNEW IT! I FUCKING KNEW IT!" chris roared, ready to punch him.

"wait!" a voice called out.

"what?" chris stopped and turned around. "george! i saw them! they were—" he tried to finish his sentence before george pulled him aside.

"dream! wilbur! are the two of you okay?" george asked, looking for anything alarming. the two of them quickly reassured him.

"what do you mean, are they okay? they fucking acted like a couple! how are you okay with that?!" he screeched. george only burst into laughter, clutching his stomach. chris looked at george, wilbur, and dream questionably. now, he wasn't even mad, he was confused!

"what— i— what?" he struggled to find any words.

"it's okay! we're just friends." wilbur and dream told him. george nodded and chuckled. "they've always acted like that, even before me and dream were dating." george explained. chris nodded and finally calmed down.

the four of them calmed down and wilbur suddenly exclaimed, "who wants to hear a song?!"
