“My, gosh! Commander, prepare your men! Crafted, try to get the villagers to safety!” King Pewds ordered.

Commander GassyMexican began to bark orders to the knights who weren’t injured, the Crafted quickly fled the room, and the kings began to put on golden colored armor. Crash! My insides shook as a crash followed by a roar echoed through the air.

Krism prepped her bow and arrow, Minx and Dlive unsheathed their swords, and Ohm and I withdrew our knives. The atmosphere was suddenly quiet, so quiet you could hear a pin drop. I controlled my breathing as panic worked its way into my brain, pumping my body with invigorating fear. Where is it?

One of the castle walls suddenly exploded as a black mass pushed through the brick and stone. The world seemed to move in slow motion as I threw myself to the ground to avoid being hit by flying debris. Yelling and screaming sounded all around the room. I lifted my head to see a big chunk of debris flying towards Cheyenne.

“Chey!” I yell.

King Cry suddenly tackled Chey to the ground, saving her from the debris. Relief flooded my body, but it was short lived. I look up to see Odisse’s piercing red gaze aimed directly at me. Oh no! The black mass shifted until it took on the form of a huge dragon. It dove its huge muzzle to the ground. I rolled over again and again as the muzzle drove itself into the floor, just missing me by a few inches.

It heaved itself out of the ground and swung it’s crimson gaze throughout the room. Opening its black mouth, it began to give off a piercing scream, causing everyone in the room to cover their ears and fall to the ground. In the scream were multiple voices, saying things like,

“You’re ugly! You’re worthless! You’re dumb!”

I don’t know why those words would affect me now, but I could feel tears begin to rise in my eyes. It’s not true, Raven! Focus! They’re not true! I stood up shakily and hold my knife firmly in my hand.

Odisse’s back was to me and I moved forward. I’m not any of those things. I’m not! The metal blade began to glow suddenly. When I got close to Odisse, I stab its back with the glowing knife. Odisse shrieks in pain and I thought I caught a glimpse of a hand in the black mass. What was that?!

I cut into Odisse and I see the hand again. Curiosity driven, I reach out and grab the hand. I tug back and pull a woman out of the black beast. Odisse screams in pain and lurches back. The person falls down on top of me, causing both of us to fall to the floor.

The woman had brown hair and wore a pink dress. She shakes her head in confusion  and looks around.

“Marzia!” I hear King Pewds yell in joy.

“Pewds? Pewds!” she stands and wraps her arms around the king.

Odisse roars in frustration and flies through the gap in the wall. Where’s it going? My feet moved on their own and I found myself pursuing the creature. Dangit, Body! I was thinking! I run through the hole in the castle wall and see Odisse soar through the sky, flying far away from the kingdom.

Sighing in exhaustion, I turn and walk back into the castle. The knights looked frantic and the Commander tried his best to calm everyone down. King Pewds and Marzia were hugging each other tightly, looking as if they were afraid to let go of one another. King Cry was tending to a scar that Chey had on her arm. King Ken was comforting a frightened Corgi puppy and Prince Markiplier was holding Tiny Box Tim close to his chest.

I walked over to the Shadows to see Krism and Minx embracing each other and Ohm and Dlive looking as if they had no idea what had just happened. I look at my knife, which wasn’t glowing anymore, and see that it had black goo staining it’s sharp edge. I wipe it off on my cloak and sit down next to Ohm.
