Arshiff!!! BROKEN TRUST

Chapter Five

9 YEARS AGO (20 years old Arnav and 15 years old khushi)

Khushi has closed from school with her second term results and as always was topper of class, she came running into Ranawat house looking for Arnav but only Ajay was in the living room.

Khushi- Uncle where is Arnavji? She ask panting

Ajay- He came back not long ago but he seemed  to be in a bad mood he must be in his room.

Khushi nodded and run upstairs to his room and open his door with a bang. Arnav was sitting on his bed leaning on the headrest with closed eyes when he had the door, but his eyes remained closed because he knows who was in his room. Khushi came beside the bed excitedly and started talking.

Khushi- Arnavji you know I have topped our class again see my paper. She said showing her papers excitedly.
Arnav opens his eyes slowly and stare at her with a blank face which confused her but the question he asked later, she knew that she was in trouble

Arnav- Who was that boy you were hugging outside your school? He ask calmly. Khushi looks at him but his face was serious and blank and she look down immediately

Khushi- Voh......he's......Karan. she stammered and Arnav's face hardens he stood up making her take two steps back

Arnav- I thought I warned you to stay away from him, didn't I khushi? He ask every word in anger.

Khushi- I'm sorry he......he.....just.......hugged.... but arnav cut in by shouting.

Arnav- AND YOU DIDN'T PUSH HIM DAMMIT. He shouted and Ajay who was passing by rushed inside the room and khushi went behind him to hide from Arnav's scolding

Ajay- Arnav why are you scolding the poor girl? He ask confusingly and khushi pouted nodding her head agreeing with him.

Arnav- Papa you think she's a poor girl but khushi cut him.

Khushi- of course I am poor girl and you are scolding me with no reason of mine. She said pouting behind Ajay

Arnav- Khushi.shut.up. he said with gritted teeth

Ajay- But what did she do arnav? He ask bringing khushi beside him who was looking down.

Arnav- I saw her hugging that Karan. He said sternly. And Ajay now understanding the problem has a teasing look on his face with a mischievous smile

Ajay- Oh! Actually I just remember I have somewhere to be so I'll just leave now. He said and went out of the room closing the room door behind him whilst khushi stare at his retreating figure shocked with three perfect Os. Arnav walk to her and turned around startling her his arms went around her waist and her hands on his shoulders looking down afraid look at him knowing he is just going to scold her.

Khushi- I'm sorry arnavji it won't happen again don't be mad at me he just hugged me I didn't want to be rude to him. She said her voice cracking a little. And just like that his anger wash away, he hug her close dropping a kiss on her head

Arnav- I'm sorry for shouting at you I just got angry when I saw hugging him when I came to pick you up from school, I'm sorry. He said caressing her head

Khushi- But why? You don't allow me to have male friends but you have female friends from school? She said pouting breaking the hug. Arnav cupped her face and place his forehead on hers closing his eyes

Arnav- Because I love you khushi and you are just mine. That is why I don't like seeing you with other boys, you belong to me only do you understand? He said calmly trying to explain to her and khushi nods her head blushing with a shy smile adorning her face.

Khushi- You are also mine right? She ask cutely and arnav smile nodding his head

Arnav- I'll talk to papa and dad later.

Khushi- About what? She ask confusingly

Arnav- Nothing you should worry about. Now let's go I have a surprise for you for topping class. He said dragging her with him.

2 DAYS LATER
Shashi- But arnav she's still young for all this.

Arnav has called Ajay and Shashi and told them he wanted to get engaged to khushi now and they can get married once they've settled in life, initially they were happy but since khushi is young now they are worried

Arnav- Dad don't worry it's just engagement I also have dreams to fulfill until then we wont get married. He explained

Ajay- He is right Shashi besides we have always wanted this from their childhood. He said smiling

Shashi- Okay I have no problem. I will talk with Garima tonight. He said. They all hugged arnav and continued chatting.

6 MONTHS LATER
Arnav was sitting on the grass leaning on a tree with khushi between his legs leaning on his chest at a park, arnav had his eyes closed with his arms around her waist whilst khushi was reading a book silently for sometime before she closed the book and lean more arnav placing her hands on his.

Khushi- Arnavji. She called softly

Arnav- Hmm?

Khushi- We are already engaged but you still don't want us to get married, why?

Arnav sigh and open his eyes turning khushi around to face him he cupped her face in his hands look in to her eyes

Arnav- Khushi Sweetheart....... you are are still young and I want you to complete high school and go to college and graduate, I want my khushi to become India's best designer okay? Don't you want to Design our wedding clothes hmm? 
Khushi nods her head looking down

Khushi- But why did you stop going to school?

Arnav brought her close hugging her to himself and kiss her forehead

Arnav- We will discuss that later Sweetheart there are many things you are unaware of.

Khushi- Promise?

Arnav- Promise. Now you have to study hard for the exams, you know next year is your final year in high school.

Khushi- Okay. I love you.

Arnav smile kissing her on top of her head

Arnav- I love you too Jaan.

PRESENT DAY
Arnav was lying on his recliner looking at his engagement picture with khushi which was in his wallet thinking about the past.

Arnav- What went wrong khushi, we were so happy. (Sighs) But I'm happy you have finally succeeded in your dreams, congratulations Jaan. He said kissing the photo.
