,,Hey Y/n.", I heard someone call behind me. Slowly I looked at that person.
,,Oh hey Nolan.", I smiled shyly at the boy.
,,H-hey Y/n, uhh I wanted to ask you something.", he shyly scratched his neck. I nodded at him, so that he can continue.
,,Erm I- Do you want to walk to class together?" ,he asked. Nolan felt like a coward. He wanted to ask his crush out but failed. He was to shy, besides he couldn't ask her out and then test the best friend of Y/n. Yes you heard right. Monroe gave Nolan a test so that he could see, who was a supernatural. He needed to do this. He didn't have any other chance.
,,Uhh sure.",you replied with a small smile.
The rest of the day every time you saw Nolan he just looked towards you very nervously and then just walked or looked away. Later that day you were in the library with Mason and Corey. You were studying for the Biology test while Corey and Mason were talking about something. Suddenly you heard a book slam onto the table and you looked up.
"Hey Nolan." Corey said looking at Nolan nervous because he knew he wanted to expose him.
"Studying for the Bio test?" Mason asked looking at him while Nolan just kept looking at the three of us.
"T-trying yeah......Um trying to understand how organisms often change.......Like how a fish can turn into an alligator." He said while he went to sit down and just kept looking at the three of us but mostly at Corey.
"Alligator's aren't fish, there reptiles they hatch from fertilized eggs....." Mason started to explain until Corey cut him of.
"And isn't the test on DNA versus RNA." Corey said looking at Nolan
You looked at Nolan and could see that something was wrong. He was going paranoid over something.
"N-nolan are you okay?" You asked as you put your hand on his.
He pulled his hand away from your's and smiled.
"Y-yeah I'm fine." He said looking at you before looking back at Corey.
"Do you think DNA changes?" Nolan asked looking at Corey.
"If it's damaged yeah a change in DNA could cause cancer." Mason explained to Nolan.
"So organisms can change, organisms change." Nolan said with a smile.
"They can change right in front of your eyes." He said while looking at Corey.
Corey looked really uncomfortable and looked down for a second before looking back at Nolan.
"I don't think this is on the test." He said nervously towards Nolan.
"Yeah I wonder if organisms can change and then change back. Like...They can be two things at once." Nolan said looking at Corey and then at you before looking back at Corey.
You looked at Nolan as Mason started to explain some really complicated stuff that only he would know. You could see that he was doing really bad. His eyes kept shifting back and forth and he looked down like he was thinking about something. You were about to say something to him when Corey started to speak.
"That's definitely not on the test, or any high school test." Corey said looking at Mason very confused.
"I wonder if......Any of us have changed. And if we did would there be any way to tell." Nolan said looking straight at Corey.
"Nolan." You said trying to capture his attention but when he as like this nothing could capture his attention.
"Like a DNA test?" Mason asked while looking at Nolan
"I was thinking a different type of test." Nolan said looking down before looking back up.
Corey and Mason looked at each other while you looked at Nolan. And before you could stop him he had plunged his pen in Corey's hand.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Mason asked as he stood up.
"What the hell Nolan." You said standing up and putting an arm around Corey, trying to hide the wound.
Nolan leaned forward and grabbed Corey's hand and looked at it.
"Look? Look at him! Look!" Nolan yelled for the whole library.
"Look Y/N he isn't normal." He said before pushing Corey's hand away.
Nolan turned around and walked away. While Mason was trying to convince the library that Corey was fine and that he just had a little scratch you ran after Nolan.
"Nolan!" You yelled as you saw him in the hallway.
"What the hell where you thinking." You said walking up to him.
"I-I had to prove it Y/N I'm sorry." He said turning around to look at you.
"What you had to prove to me that Corey wasn't normal. Well guess what Nolan I already knew that." You said angrily.
"You knew." He said looking at you.
"Yeah I did. God what has happened to you. You think that my Corey's a monster and all those other people. You are the monster I really hope you're sorry." You said angrily.
"Why should I apologize for the monster I've become when no ones apologized for making me this way." He said angrily looking at you.
"Because you are a good person that's why you should apologize. The person who made you like this is clearly not going to apologize they made you like this for a reason. God I'm so stupid? I can't believe I loved you." You said crossing your arms.
"Y-you love me?" He asked confused.
"Yeah but now that you stabbed my best friend in the hand, I'm not so sure." You said looking down.
"I think I'm in love with you too and you have no idea how much that fucking scares me." Nolan said looking at you.
,,It doesn't matter anymore, because I'm just like my friends.", you show your glowing yellow eyes.
,,You-you're a werewolf.", Nolan slowly walked backwards.
"And yet I haven't kill anyone. Nolan you have to understand that we're trying to protect everyone. We are not the Monsters. We want to help the people and save them. My pack and me.", you said as you slowly walked closer to you.
"I'm sorry for what I did to you're friends. I'm just really scared." He said looking down.
"You don't have to apologize to me for doing that. I know you are but you don't have to be. My pack is just protecting you guys." You said as you took his hand.
"Okay I believe you.", Nolan smiles as he looks at your hands.
