𝓛𝓲𝓯𝓮 𝓫𝓮𝓯𝓸𝓻𝓮 𝓝𝓸𝓸𝓷 (Demon Slayer: KnY x Reader)

We all stare at the cut in half boulder as foot steps slowly approach us from behind.
We all turn to Urokodaki as he examines Tanjiros boulder, "Master Urokodaki" softly murmurs Tanjiro. I move over to stand beside Tanjiro.

After a moments of silence, Urokodaki speaks, "I had no intention of sending you to the Final Selection."

"I didn't want to see more children die. I was confident you wouldn't be able to slice through this boulder, but.."

Urokodaki puts both of his hands on top of our heads, petting our hair softly.
"Well done, my girl, boy!"

"(Y/N), Tanjiro, you're both remarkable kids!"

Tanjiro begins to softly cry, Urokodaki pulls both of us in for a warm hug, "Make sure you both come back alive from the Final Selection. Both your sister and friend, as well as I, will be waiting for you here.

Comfortably sitting in Urokodaki's home as he makes us a nice dinner with more food than usual, "What's the occasion? There's so much." Tanjiro says beside Kokushibou and I. Haha look at Tanjiro, not sitting in a tall ass demons lap being cuddled, what a fucking loser. jk i love tanjiro pls dont cancel me.

"You've completed your training. It's a cause for celebration," Urokodaki says while pouring the food into two bowls, "Don't be shy. Eat up." Urokodaki hands us both a bowl.
"Thank you very much!" Tanjiro and I reply, Tanjiro grabbing his bowl while Kokushibou grabs mine and starts feeding me because he's a controlling asshole, thank you tho.

Urokodaki stares very creepily at us while we eat wtf.
We both hold out our bowls asking for more, which Urokodaki immediately starts refilling.

Later Tanjiro asks me to cut his hair for him, Kokushibou trying to pull me away from him and take me to the bedroom, "Kokushibou if you don't let me cut best boys hair, ima divorce your ass."
Kokushibou hesitantly lets go and instead sits in the corner, staring at Tanjiro and I as I cut his hair.
Crab spider got problems.

Urokodaki sits in the corner beside us, folding two clothes.
"Hey (Y/N), Tanjro..."
We both turn to Urokodaki, "Yes?"

"Did you enjoy that hot pot?"

"Yes! I haven't had such a feast in a long time!" Tanjiro replies before me, "That shit tasted better than Mcdonald's."
Tanjiro turns to look at me, questioning what the fuck a Mcdonald's is, "Clowns."
Tanjiro still doesn't get it.

"A young lad with a hearty appetite will grow both bigger and stronger." We both turn to Urokodaki again. "But that goes for demons, too." Urokodaki turns his head slightly towards us, "Remember this, a demon is as strong as the number of humans it has devoured."

Tanjiro glances at Kokushibou before quickly looking back at Urokodaki, "So the more they eat, the stronger they get?"

Urokodaki begins to stand up, "That's right. Some demons gain special powers, such as being able to morph. You never know what strange abilities you'll run into."

Urokodaki slides open the cabinet, reaching in and picking up two masks, "When your sense of smell becomes keener, you'll be able to tell how many humans a demon has consumed."

Urokodaki walks over to both of us, handing us each a mask. "What's this?" Tanjiros asks, taking his mask out of Urokodaki's hand.
"It's called a warding mask, I've imbued it with magic that protects the wearer from harm."

"A warding mask..."

『Time Skip』

Early morning Tanjiro and I were putting on our cloud patterned jinbei kimonos.
Before leaving, Tanjiro went in our shared bedroom to bid Nezuko goodbye.
I hug Kokushibou goodbye, whispering into his ear, "Koku, if I die, just know I love you and you're hot, and I'm cheating on you with two ghosts."
I quickly escape from the hug and hide outside by the door, since Kokushibou can't get out here ahaha imagine dying to a fucking star.

Soon Urokodaki and Tanjiro are outside too, "Don't worry about your friend and sister, I'll take good care of them."

"All right! Thank you very much." We both give a light nod of our heads.

Lightly jogging away from Urokodaki, Tanjiro turns around with a wave, I turn around to only giving him a smile. "We're off, Master Urokodaki!"
Urokodaki gives a weak wave back.

We both turn back around and continue but before we could disappear down the hill, Tanjiro turns around with another wave, "Say hello to Sabito and Makomo for me!"
I quickly turn around again, "Make sure to remind Sabito of our date too!"
Tanjiro turns to me, "eh? what?"

Urokodakis hand faulters, "Tanjiro, (Y/N).. How do you know the name of those deceased children? And wait date-"

『Time Skip』

Finally making it to the wisteria flower barrier, Tanjiro grasps one of the vines of the flowers, "Wow.. look at all these wisteria flowers, (Y/N)"
I look at the one Tanjiro was holding, "They're so pretty."

Tanjiro plucks the flower off and turns to me, "I think they would look prettier here," He somehow gets the wisteria vine to stay in my hair (or on ur head idk u bald or some shit)

'when tf did Tanjiro start flirting' I thought lightly blushing, Tanjiro smiles at me with a blush as well.

"You're cute as fuck, anyway let's continue." Tanjiro has surprised look on his face but seeing me ahead he quickly rushes up beside me.

Walking up the stares, we come to an opening full of the other soon to become dead or demon slayers, majority dead.

Genya, Kanao, and Zenitsu are very easy to see out of the monotone group.
Before I was about to look away from Zenitsu, I saw him make eye contact with me. Giving him a small wave he begins to heavily blush, before "Everyone," Zenitsu gets a frightened look on his face once hearing the two twins speak.
