Shy Genius Friend of Kageyama Tobio

Chapter 1

"Tobio! This is the first and last match I'll be playing in junior high!" I say proud as I smile at Tobio. "Asako! Stop embarrassing me and get serious!" I flinched as I start getting silence and puff my cheeks out, Tobio sighs as he pats me on the head "sorry Asako."

"It's okay!" I say with a smile as we continue going to the gym until I see the 2nd years bullying one of the players we are having a match with. I walk to them as Tobio yells...

"Hey! 2nd years!! Don't go acting all mighty and strong!! Get back to the court!!"

"Yes sir!" They run to the gym for the match as the Orange-haired guy walks up to me to check my height as he yells out suddenly "I'm taller than you!" He then acts as if he was proud of his heights!!

"I may not be tall but I can run and jump!!" "I can jump too!" "Then let's see who can jump the best!!!" Then Tobio puts me on his shoulder as he carries me away!!

We line up before we start the game "Let's have a good game!!" As I got ready up for the enemy serve the guy I met from before spikes it.....

But Tobio and I blocked it before he could spike it! I gave a recieve to Tobio as he makes a toss to one guy and makes it to the other court!!!

As the guy fell on his back, he stands up as he gets this evil look suddenly and I gave it right back to him. As he spikes it, it was only a one-touch but one of our guys haven't caught it as Tobio freaks out again. As the guy gets the spike from a very far angle, I got in the Orange guy's face as his spike hit my hand and I spiked it fast and landed it on the other court!!!!

As the match finished 25-8, Tobio walks to the guy and yells out "what have you been doing for the past 3 years??" I drag him away as I say sorry to the other team.

~next year~
I rode my bike to school in my new uniform as I run in school so I could sign up for volleyball club!! I ran past people as they were staring at me.

I pant as I make it in the gym and I find Tobio! "Tobio!" "Oh, hey Asako." Then I hear someone's footsteps as I rotate.....

I see the Orange guy!!!!

"What the hell are you two doing here?!?!??"

Then 3 2nd/3rd years enter as they ask Tobio and I "You're Kageyama and Koemi right?" "Yep!" "Yes."

"Hey!! You're the short one!!!"

Kageyama turns back to Hinata as I say "come on you guys!" "I wasn't the same as I was last year." "lets see about that." Kageyama smirks as he does a serve and as it is about to hit the guy's face, I spike it straight down!!

The vice principal arrives as he says "if they don't listen to their coach, that's big trouble." "OI! You two!" But as Kageyama threw another one again Hinata, as I remember, managed to block it, with his arm and face as it hits the vice principal's head and his wig flew off!!!!

"Tobio! Hinata!" As the vice-principal leaves, the Captains tells Hinata and Kageyama that until they get along......... they won't be able to play!! AND!!! I'M in charge of them!!!

"Bu-but captain-san!! How am I suppose to do it??" "You figure out Koemi but for now, Tanaka will help you!" The guy with the shaved head look has his eyes wide-open but as he stares at me...... HE STARTS BLUSHING!!

He looks away embarrassed as I blushed! As captain-san kicks Kageyama and Hinata out and I come after them, I start pouring as Kageyama was guilty for me but pissed he had to work with Hinata.

As we were outside, I tell them something "how about if we do a match against them 3-on-3!" "Yes!!" as I talk to captain-san who is also called Daichi-san agreed and told us that we will be fighting against the other 1st years!

I hear Tanaka-san say something about the time the gym was opening as Tobio, Hinata and I decide "5 am!"

~next day~
Tobio was giving me a piggyback to the gym. As we arrive, Hinata arrives and then Tanaka as he twirls the keys around his finger.

"Tanaka-san you're awesome!" I smile as he was blushing and looked away "I-it wasn't a big deal anyway! Well here is the access to the gym and be finished before 7!"

I jump off Tobio's back as I run in the gym and I get a volleyball. I turn around to them as I say "let us start!" I smiled.

~1 hour later~
"Hinata! What have you been doing all this years if you can't receive??" I say as Hinata falls on his face. I hear the door open as I turn around and see....

Sugawara-san!! As Tobio tosses up, I spike it down as Hinata looks at me! "Hey, toss to me too!!" Hinata says "no way. I'll be tossing it to Asako the whole time and your job is to not get in the way!" I was surprised by Tobio's answer as it was time for us to clean up.

"Hey Hinata!" I run up to him while it was our break "what about if I toss to you starting tomorrow?" "Re-really?" Hinata smiled as I smiled back. "But if you toss.... to me.... it feels... like I'm losing." he turns around pouting as I lightly smack him on the arm "I can toss as good as Tobio!" I pout as we start practising....

~Thursday at 5:30am~
"I won't go easy on you Hinata!" I say as I kept spiking and serving and he was receiving the whole time. The I let Kageyama spike but he has it too high as I run to receive it to him and he then tosses the ball and he threw another ball quickly as Hinata and I smile and both spiked each of the balls. Then Hinata was smiling but then he started puking!!! "Get me water!! Sugawara-san!!! Tanaka-san!!!"

~night time~
We were still training Hinata as then a hand appears out of nowhere catching the ball from me!! "Hey!" I pout as I turn around and look up at two huge guys!!!

"How tall are you?" "Tsukki is 188cm!! Almost 190cm!" "Well we will definitely beat you!" Hinata says as the guy leans too close to my face as he says "I wonder if you've ever worked with the king before?" I get pissed off as I say "don't call him that!!" "I saw what happened to him at the prefecture finals." I grab his collar but he blushes as he thinks I'm too close but I let go of him as I walk away.

~Saturday~
Then as we get ready for the 3-on-3 match, I stretch but I then see the girl manager, Shimizu Kiyoko, she's so pretty and she then walks to me as she tells me with wide eyes "you're beautiful." I was surprised from the sudden comment as I look away from the stare as I blush too.

Then before we start, I hear 'Kei' say something "now who should we block, the short one, the king, or the cute one?" Then Tanaka-san gets in front of me as he says "Asako-chan and them will pulverize you!!" I then stick my tongue out at them! A match against them and Daichi-san!!

As Tobio tosses it, I spike it past Kei!! Then as Tobio tosses it for Hinata, Hinata manages to spike it but it was blocked by Kei! Then Hinata tries again but the same thing happens and as Tobio tosses it to me, it slips out my fingers but still get over the net on the other court!!

"Yay!!"

Then as Hinata tried to sync with Kageyama I then say "Tobio! You gotta sync with him instead of him syncing with you!! I'll show you an example!" As I go in my highest jump in my fastest speed I spike the ball and it goes in!!

Daichi-san then says something "Koemi-chan... had her eyes closed!" I was blushing as Tobio says "why did you close your eyes???" "It's because I didn't know any other way not to look at the ball and hit it!"

~timeskip~
We won 2-0 and Hinata was laying on the floor as I took of my sweater and I was left in my tight white t-shirt and shorts. I walk to Kei as I say embarrassed "let's shake hands!" I forced my hand to intertwine with his as he blushes and I shake his hand!!

"Yeah!!"

Then the manager, Kiyoko-chan gives us our volleyball club sweaters as I wear it!! "It looks good on you Asako!" "T-thanks Tobio!" I say as all 1st years put theirs on and line up.
Then a ... teacher? Comes out of nowhere and yells out "we're having a practise match with Aoba Jousai High School!! But the condition is.... Kageyama has to be the setter the entire time while Koemi plays the whole time too!" I had my eyes wide open as I was nervous like Hinata!!
