⚠️TW: mentions of vomit + seizures⚠️

Wilhelm's lips had turned a violent shade of blue. Malin raced into action, acting out on her extensive medical training she had been given in case of situations like these. She turned him on his side and hurriedly grabbed a pillow from his bed to place against his back. Malin wiped the foam off his lips, and, moments after, he vomited. She was overjoyed to see this; he didn't choke.

She picked Wilhelm up and lay him in her arms, similar to how you would hold a toddler. She ran out his dorm, still making sure his head was to the side, and simultaneously she spoke into her earpiece to alert the bodyguards outside of a code red. An assassination attempt.

Malin could see the crowds of people alongside her, craning the necks to see what all the commotion was. But she didn't have time to steer herself away from their curious eyes; she could feel Wilhelm in her arms, his heartbeat weak and barely there.

She finally reached the exterior grounds of the school, where a private air ambulance already awaited her. She raced to the helicopter and handed him over to the paramedics whilst filling them in on what had happened. They immediately injected him with some adrenaline to get his heart rate back to the normal pace. As they waited for the medication to take its effect, Malin quickly boarded the vehicle as it began its ascent.

They all knew that Wilhelm would need his stomach pumped to rid him of the toxins he had consumed, but it would be impossible to do it in the air, so they could do nothing but fly towards the hospital and keep Wilhelm stable.

Without warning, he began to convulse. His body was rigid as it shook, and the sight of which made Malin want to leap out the helicopter. Yes, she was trained for this, but it still wasn't something she liked to see.

She grabbed his head and cradled it to ensure he didn't harm himself. The paramedic closes to his legs held onto them and another quickly injected some diazepam into his muscle. It took a few minutes, but eventually, he calmed down, and he lay still, almost as if he was asleep.

Malin finally breathed a sigh of relief. They were circling the large H on the roof of the hospital, as they landed and carried him inside.

The hospital was a madhouse. Bodyguards were pooling in, with security at every exit and entrance imaginable. There was an army of doctors awaiting them as they entered the unit, and they all leapt into action.

After about an hour, Wilhelm was finally fully stable. He had gotten his stomach pumped, where they had found traces of cyanide.

Malin had been questioned the whole time. What was the last thing he ate, when did he eat it, what were you doing as it happened, why were you unable to stop him, who was the last person in his dorm.

She had answered them all the the best of her ability, which was top tier. Malin had finally been released when they knew she had no part in the poisoning.

The doors of the ICU had opened. In walked the queen, dressed in a navy blue attire with a string of pearls around her neck. She made her way to Wilhelm's bed, and just stood off to the side.

Malin eyed her interestingly. It was not in her role to interfere, but the sight of the queen confused her. Here her son was, the only one left in her family, with tubes potruding from his mouth and stomach, unconscious. This display was enough to send any mother into bits, but there she was, standing with perfect posture and a stone cold expression on her face. There wasn't an ounce of emotion to be seen. The queen quietly muttered something to her bodyguard, and she was escorted out the unit.

Malin thought back to the questions she had been asked.

"Who was the last person to enter his dorm" she had been asked.

Who was the last person to enter his dorm? But then she realised, as she listened to the clacking of heels from the distance.

It had been the Queen.

oooooo this was a fun chapter to write. I hope it wasn't too distressing to read, I included a trigger warning at the start for those who don't like reading about these sort of things. Also, I did a lot of research on poisoning and seizures so I think i wrote accurately. If not, lmk and I'll edit it to make it more realistic.

I hope you enjoyed reading this chapter. If you did please leave votes (and comments! I'd love to be able to read some) and have a good day :)
