Gigi's POV

I covered my ears in bed as I heard my parents yelling at each other for the hundredth time this week.

"You better watch yourself!" "Because I can leave and never come back!" My mom yelled.

"Well go ahead and do it! You'll be doing me a favor!" He yelled back.

"But I'm taking gigi with me and you'll never see her again! Never!"

"She's my daughter you lunatic! You can't just take my daughter away from me!"

I pulled the covers over my head as tears fell down my face.

"She doesn't need you! Neither of us do. We'll be so much better off without you." My mom yelled.

"You can do whatever the hell you want, but don't you dare bring gigi into this!" I heard before a door slammed close.

It had been like this all summer, I don't know how to handle it anymore. Sometimes their fights are bearable and I can ignore them, but sometimes it's just too much.

We were supposed to go on vacation during July, but my parents can't stand each other so they had to cancel it. It's gotten so bad that some nights I end up staying over at my grandmas house just to not be in this chaos. But the best remedy I have right now is to cry myself to sleep.

The next day I went back to school. Even though most of my mood was affected by my parents constant fighting, I was excited to go back to school, it's been two months since I last saw Justin, he hasn't been in town all summer and I know nothing about him. I thought that he would've showed up to school.

Boy was I wrong. The whole day there was no sight of him.

After school ended, I spotted my grandma by the exit. I didn't know she was coming to get me today, I'm guessing my parents are still fighting.

I headed with her to her home and she served me a hot plate of food but I could barely pass it down.

"I'm not really hungry nana." I told her.

"You have to eat something." She said. "Your mom is working till late, and your father is probably gonna end up buying you something on the streets."

"But I already ate!" I lied. "I had lunch at school."

"Gigi, that's not enough. You can't just have lunch and nothing else." She said.

I sighed and said "Well, I can take it home with me. I'll just heat it up later."

"Fine." She face in. "Let me pack this up and I'll take you home. Okay?"

I nodded and gave her a smile.

I kept my head against the car window during the ride him, daydreaming of a peaceful place, anywhere that wasn't here. But something caught my eye as we reached my house. There was a car in front of Justin's place, and there was a long brunette hair girl; Pattie! This means Justin must be back.
And as we passed by the car, I made eye contact with Justin, instantly putting a smile on my face.

"Take care, okay hun?" "Take your food with you." My grandma said as she parked in front of my house.
"Gigi. Are you listening?" I turned to look at her and nodded. "C'mon, I'll walk you inside."

We went in, i glanced back every five seconds as I walked towards the front door, and she looked around the place.

"If you need anything, you know my phone number, right?"
