Woman

Hey! I'm doing good, how was your day?" I replied.

Paige and Olivia gave us a little wave and drove off.

"It was alright you know, donating platelets didn't work, errands with my dad, wasn't too exciting" she replied.

Right away I noticed, she could hold and continue a conversation with you no matter what answer you gave her.

"Yeah I bet that sucked" I replied as we opened the doors to Chiptole. We stood there like idiots for a second because we didn't realize you ordered on their app and picked it up for their corona rule. We decided it was too much work, left and laughed about how we stood there for a good 5 minutes.

"Okay so how about Cava then?" she asked.

"Well I hate to break it to you, but I'm not really hungry so we can go to Cava, I'm probably just not going to get anything."

She gave me a weird look.

Fuck

"Yeah, I don't really eat a lot. Just kinda like one meal, every now and then two and I had two meals today" I said quickly trying to cover up the 5 second silence between us.

She again, gave me a weird look.

Well fuck Lacey, way to trauma dump her on your first date.

"Did you know i'm vegetarian?" she said.

I knew she was because I constantly asked both Brooklyn and Alexa about her so I can be able to talk about things with her.

"You are?" I replied.

"Yeah, i've been vegetarian all my life. To be honest Cava is a better option for me to eat because there's a lot of vegetarian options" she told me.

We made small talk about what foods we ate til we entered cava. As we walked in I noticed a lot of the workers there went to my school and was in my grade. We continued our small talk until it was her turn to order. As she told the worker about her bowl out loud, I kinda just stood there next to her. We eventually got to the cashier to pay. I started to take out my wallet as a nice gesture to pay. She looked over and noticed it. She then swung her arm into a quick motion that even surprised me. She had a good grasp on my arm, the arm I held my card in.

"No!" Sydney said in a playful tone.

"What, just let me pay I want to be nice" I said with a chuckle.

"You didn't even get anything" Sydney said.

I can tell the worker wasn't having it and just staring at us at this point. I ended up giving up and relaxing my arm since I had to fight back to move it towards the card reader.

"Fine you win, next time you won't though" I said.

"We'll see about that" she replied with a smile.

We got her food and walked over to the grass area in birkdale and sat down. We talked about our hobbies first. I couldn't say much because I'm either eating at Qdoba, working, riding around and doing school. I didn't really know myself and I had lost a sense of identity, so telling her about my life was very challenging to keep the mood happy rather than boring. Then we got to the topic of music, that's where it got interesting.
