This means nothing

Chapter 3

"Alright, I am going to head back to our dorm. I will return Armin's clothes after I wash them." I grabbed my clothes from last night and walked towards the door.

"It was really nice to meet you y/n." Eren told me.

"You too." I walked out and on my way out of the building, I bumped into someone.

"Y/n hey!" I looked up and saw Jean.

"Jean. What's going on?"

"Nothing really. Eren and I have basketball practice today. So, I'm here to pick him up. Otherwise, he's never on time."

"Oh, so basketball is the sport y'all play? I meant to ask last night."

"Yeah, we played in high school together. We are both here on a scholarship. Also, Sasha asked me to give you this." He handed me a piece of paper with a phone number on it. "She didn't get a chance to get your number since apparently we are all losers and fell asleep."

"I'll text her. Thank you. Have fun at practice."

"Thanks." He walked off toward the steps.

I got back to my dorm and sat down. I plugged in my phone since it had died and got changed into my clothes.

After my phone charged a little I saw I had a few texts. One from Armin.

And one from my ex. Who I thought I had blocked. I ignored his text and read Armin's.

Goodmorning. Sorry I had to leave.
I hope we can hang out later :)

I took a minute to answer him. I thought about what Mikasa had said. She was right. What if it did mean something to Armin. I'm not looking for anything serious. I just got out of a three-year relationship last month.

Don't worry about the clothes
They are old and I don't wear them often
It's my soccer warm up outfit

I played for 6 years
I actually got offered a scholarship

Why didn't you take it?

Armin
How about we meet up for dinner and I tell you about it?

I left him on delivered for a while. I texted Sasha. If she and Mikasa wanted to hang out I would use that to get out of it.

It was great meeting you yesterday
Mikasa said something about you wanting to hang out?

Y/n! Hey!
Now I know Mikasa said you'll say no
but will you please come over and hang out with us today?

I'd love to

Perfect. I know it was wrong of me and I probably should have just told the truth. That was hard though. So I told him I already had plans with Sasha and Mikasa. I ran down to the laundry room in our building and started washing Armins stuff after I had texted him that I couldn't hang out.

"So, you said yes to hanging out with Sasha huh? Why?" Mikasa had walked up behind me without me realizing it.

"You scared me. Anyway, I said yes cause you're right. I had a lot of fun last night and I should get out more."
