Cure

(The whole story is in Elena's pov)

"I love you"

"Till death do us part" Damon points to the cure

I look into his beautiful blue eyes as I raise the cure to my lips. I feel the warm liquid go down my throat.

"How y'a feel?" he asks sounding very concerned

"I don't know I, I kinda feel..."

All of a sudden a million memories flood my brain, I start remembering every single detail of what Damon had told me about our relationship before I asked Ric to take away my memories. And now I truly know Damon never was a bad person and he did everything for a reason, he wasn't selfish, just in love and I couldn't be more in love with him. All of a sudden I wake up in an alley in Damon's arms.

"Elena hey you scared the crap outta me"

"I think I'm ok"

"What happened?"

"We were on our first date"

"What?" He's asked surprised

"Yeah, Damon I'm getting my memories back!Damon the cure it undid the compulsion"

"It worked"

"Yeah, wait"

I quickly get my pin from the hospital out of my pocket and poke my finger with it. After a second the blood was still there!

"It's not healing! Damon it's not healing that means it works!"

"How you feeling about that?"

"I feel, I feel like I wanna kiss you!"

I smash my lips on to his and it's like everything in the world is perfect. After we unlink our lips from each other I hold out my wrist for him to drink from

"Ok you ready?" I ask

"Ready as I'll ever be"

I felt his teeth sink into my wrist, it hurt a little but I was mostly used to it. After about a minute Damon finished and looked up at me

"So how do you feel?" I asked

"I don't know kinda drowsy"

I quickly get out my hospital pin again and give it to Damon. I watch as he pricks his finger. It doesn't heal. Ohmy god it doesn't heal!

"It worked! Elena it worked were both humans!" he says excitedly

We smash our lips together again just trying to live in this amazing moment together.

As we melt away I look up at Damon smiling

"After over 100 years of being a vampire I can finally live a perfect life with the perfect girl"

"Now we can have everything we ever wanted!"
