The buildings around Xena look well kept and are in a good condition. It looks like a decent place, yet there aren't many people.
They had arrived here ten minutes ago, and have been waiting for more people or initiates to arrive.
Finally Xena sees a group of teens walking over in their direction. She also notices with some relief that there are four girls. Now, she and Beatrice will hopefully not be so alone.
When the group stops right next to Xena's, Abigor starts talking, his raspy voice irritating Xena. "Welcome everyone. We will all be training together from now on, and hopefully you will all get on well enough. My team from Novum will be staying here in Eboracum too from tomorrow forward."
Xena is surprised. He couldnt have mentioned that at breakfast? Or did it just give him pleasure to irritate them?
As Xena, the new initiatives and the initiatives from Novum walk down the hallway, guided by a servant to their new rooms, Xena and Beatrice make friends with a girl called Iris. She is beautiful with a sharp jawline and soft brown curly hair. Her skin is a soft chocolate color, which shines in the sun and makes her almost glow.
The building where they stay is a modern concrete building with many big windows. The guide leads the group of thirty or so from one door to another, and at each door the big group is divided into smaller groups to stay in each room. Three or four people are assigned to each room.
Xena is sorted into a group of four, as their room is much bigger. She is sorted into a room with Iris, Beatrice and another girl named Amity. She has the most beautiful skin color of dark chocolate and she was tall with a mysterious expression. She didn't talk much and usually just smiled.
When they enter their room they can see that there is a four poster bed with black and gray bedding for each one of them, and in the corner of the room is a small kitchen, next to every bed is a small desk. There is a bathroom at the other end of the room, opposite from the door.
Later that night, it starts to lightly rain again, and while Beatrice and Iris are deep in conversation and Amity is reading, Xena goes for a walk. She only puts on a hoodie, a pair of jeans with green sneakers. She walks out the room without anyone noticing, and when she is out of the dorm building. She starts running. She feels so free. The raindrops kissing her body each time they touch her. She finds a spot under a tree and sits against the trunk, soaking wet but happy. When it starts pouring, she starts singing, talking to herself about nonsense and even laughs at herself. "I may be crazy here, but at least I am happy." She spends the night running through the rain, crying for her father, laughing at her own jokes and after midnight she slowly heads back to her shared room, refreshed. She opens the door slot, trying not to make any noise, and steps in, immediately taking off her shoes and socks, which are dripping with ice cold water.
Xena is relieved and thankful to see that everyone is asleep, yet she still walks so quietly and slowly, with such tension that she gets a cramp in her foot.
When she finally reaches the bathroom at the other side of the room, she quickly undresses and puts on a her sleepwear. When she gets in bed, she hears a whisper, "Xena, where on earth were you? It's like one in the morning right now!" Beatrice looks worn out as she tries to keep her eyes open long enough to hear the answer from Xena. "I just went for a walk." "A four hour walk?"
"Look, we spent all day in here, since this morning when we arrived, and I was feeling cooped up."
"Ok fine, good night."
Xena gets into bed and falls asleep quite easily, as all the excitement can be tiring.
