I jumped back holding in a scream. The tiger made no move. He just kept staring at me with the same bored expression plastered on his face. 'Okay. You're just hallucinating' I thought. Sighing I leaned back. 'So, there was a tiger. I was still stuck here'
"You choose to be stuck."
"Oh, so now you're speaking to me. I really am crazy," I mumbled.
"You have yet to actually try."
I stared at him blankly. The thing was I had tried, and I had a bleeding gash to prove it. Closing my eyes I pushed all the pain out and once again stood up.
I paused when hitting the mud. This time I shoved my hand in much farther; I was up to my elbows. In doing this, I was able to make it half way up before I ran out of the limestone foot holds for me feet. Then I had an idea. I used the previous holes I had already made for my feet. As soon as my hands felt the lush grass of the surface, I knew I had made it.
Staggering out, I headed to my car. This meant back up the huge hill that caused me trouble in the first place. I managed to make it to the top. Looking down at my calf I noted that I had lost a large amount of blood. Probably the reason I was over taken with dizziness. I still had a good deal of ground to cover, so I kept going. The faster I could get to my car the faster I could get help.
Normally, traveling through the forest was no problem at all. I was agile enough that the rough terrain was no problem. However, in my clumsy state I managed to trip. I had to keep going. If I stopped, rested, I knew I would be able to get up again. My eyes started to droop as I contemplated ways to get up. I latched on to a tree, using my upper body strength to get up. 'Just keep moving'. I staggered once more falling on my back. As I inspected my calf again, I knew it was pointless. All my energy was gone, and with a little over a mile left, I couldn't make it. I had pushed my body as far as it could go. Exhaustion flooded over me, and soon I was asleep.

I groaned, rolling over. "Finally," he huffed. Stirring at the sound of his voice, I opened my eyes. I was greeted with blackness. Shuffling. I removed the blanket from my eyes. Somehow I had traveled from the middle of the jungle to his room. More specifically, his bed. Gales bed.
My eyes softened at the sight of him. I groaned a second time as I took him in. His sandy blonde hair was more ruffled then usual, just the way I liked it. He obviously wasn't planning on going to school any time soon. Considering he only had on a tank top and sweat pants. I couldn't be thinking about this, how hot he was. He didn't want me anymore. Worst of all were those piercing green eyes, trying to trap me. I wouldn't let my self fall for it again, I silently pledged to myself.
"Ugh, what time is it?" I asked.
"Oh. It's about nine o'clock.'
"You let me sleep in?!" I pretty much screamed. "I already missed yesterday, I can keep skipping!"
"Sophie," he paused, "it's Saturday"
"I.. I skipped. Three days." I whispered. A nagging feeling washed over me as I realized something. I glanced at my leg. It was gone. The gash; I had lost so much blood. I knew it had happened though. Sure enough, a second look proved I did have a scar. A thin line stretching diagonally across the center of my left calf. I sat there gaping at it.
"Ahem," Gale coughed.
"Oh, right... So listen, thanks for you know, saving me.
"Saving you? You knocked on MY door in the middle of the night. I'm really sorry that you're taking this break up so hard but," he shrugged, "you need to move on."
Oh, I was mad now. "I'm taking this hard? Hell yes. That can happen when you don't even give me a reason why we broke up in the first place," I all but shout.
"I told you why. It was moving too fast."
"I don't know why you're doing this. Thanks for letting me stay here," I choked out storming out of his room, and out the front door
