What was he thinking when he broke up with you? Yoongi sure as hell can't remember now, watching you sit on his friend's lap, laughing the same way you used to laugh at his jokes.

He knew you'd be here, of course you would be at Taehyung's house party as Jungkook's date, and up until Yoongi left his home, trying to find a set of clothes that didn't remind him of you, he had wrestled with the idea of ditching his friends for the night. But he couldn't withdraw and ignore you, then his friends would know something was wrong, and he couldn't have them worrying for him or worse, pitying him.

He watches you sitting on Jungkook's lap out of the corner of his eye, Jungkook showering you with affection out in the open. You smiled brightly, a smile that made Yoongi's heart clench, his chest tensing painfully with each breath he took.

It's what you deserved, to be the center of someone's world. Yoongi had been too busy trying to fix his own problems, pull together the broken parts of himself into someone resembling a functioning member of society to see the sadness in your eyes when he forgot an anniversary, or the anger you held back from him as you padded around the apartment, looking for something to entertain yourself with while Yoongi, too engrossed in his work, had stopped listening to what you were talking about.

It was his fault. He couldn't blame Jungkook, the pair of you never acted that serious in front of his friends. Sometimes you even wondered how serious Yoongi took your relationship with him, always acting hot one minute and cold the next. It was because Yoongi didn't want to make a spectacle of your relationship, he wanted to treasure your intimacy all for himself.

He realizes how stupid he was now, he should have made his claim on you known by all his friends, do what Jungkook was currently doing now. Showing you off for everyone to see, even Yoongi.

You looked in his direction briefly, and caught his sad eyes, and the way you tensed in Jungkook's embrace, the way your smile fell slightly as you swallowed hard and blinked rapidly, the way you held his stare longer than you should have, Yoongi knew there was still something left unspoken between you.

You squirm in Jungkook's lap. He plays with your fingers to get your attention, "Are you okay, y/n?"

"Yeah yeah, I'm fine." You smile at your sweet boyfriend.

"Can't you tell? She's hungry," Yoongi interjects.

You turn to him in surprise, you shake your head at your boyfriend, "It's fine."

You're about to reach for the chips on the table when Yoongi interjects again, "It's not fine, you haven't eaten since you arrived. You skipped lunch again, didn't you? Taehyung has noodles I can make."

"I'll go make it," Jungkook pulls you off his lap and sits you down on the couch, giving you a kiss on the forehead. Five minutes later he comes back with a cup of spicy ramen.

Yoongi watches as you blow on the noodles, cautiously eating the cup of ramen. His annoyance with Jungkook is growing. You don't like the spicy kind.
