Boyfriend stumbled on the pavement, his sweaty hands in his pockets as the sun shines down on his face. His ebony eyes shining faintly as he took each step. Birds chirped making a sigh escape his lips. "Finally some noise.." He muttered, taking one of his hands out of his pocket and carefully bringing it to scratch the back of his neck.A small pain brought Boyfriend to a wince. He gritted his teeth, moving his hand off of his neck. The blue haired individual began to fidget with his turtleneck, trying to cover as much of his neck as possible. He was hoping nobody could see what he was hiding. Boyfriend continued to walk on the pavement, his sneakers squeaking every now and then from the pressure. And at last, he arrived at the front door of his house.
Taking out keys from his pocket, Boyfriend unlocked the door and stepped inside. "I'm home!" He shouted, closing the door with the ball of his foot and locking it. No answer. Boyfriend sighed, "I guess work is more important." He whispered to himself and clenched his fist. Taking small steps forward, he made his way to his bedroom in a hassle. His footsteps echoing through the hallway as his heart thumped in his chest. It was the only thing he was able to hear.
He walked inside his bedroom, pushing the door to a close with a small click. His stygian eyes glanced around the room, landing on a standing easel with a canvas displayed on it neatly. A smile formed on Boyfriend's lips as he gently threw his bag on the bed and stepped towards the easel. Next to it was a desk full of paint bottles and brushes that had multiple fluorescent colors splattered around.
Boyfriend shuffled a clean palette towards him and selected a couple different colored paints. He puts a couple drops of every colors onto the palette and grabbed a brush turning his attention to the canvas. Gripping onto the brush, dipping the tip into the paint his hand began to glide against the canvas. Lines and dips, his hand moved on its own. This was his passion, he loved painting. Mixing colors, decorating the canvas with pigmentations. It brought pure joy to Boyfriend, something he rarely felt alone.
Suddenly a loud buzzing noise echoed through the room making Boyfriend's breath hitch and snap out of thought. He nervously put the palette and brush down and scattered over to his bed, grabbing his bag. He dug through the bag to take out his buzzing phone. It was a call from his boyfriend, Pico. Quickly answering the call, Boyfriend brought the phone up to his ear. "H-Hello?" He fumbled over his words, fidgeting with the hoodie strings. A warm chuckle from the other line made Boyfriend's cheeks turn a beaming crimson. "Hey softie." His husky voice made a shiver run down his spine. "Hey! I missed you.." Boyfriend said, his voice almost turning into a whisper.
"Mhm, if you missed me why didn't you answer my texts?" Pico responded, faking an annoyed tone. "W-Wait you texted me?!" Boyfriend exclaimed, "Oh god, I'm so sorry! I-I came back home and started painting and I completely lost track of time, I'm so sorry babe!" He rambled out with a worried expression plastered on his face. Pico laughed with a small snort, "I'm joking, B. I could care less, you were busy doing something you love. I just want to see you happy." Pico said, his voice sincere which earned a blush from Boyfriend. "Ah.. thank you, Pico." Was the only thing he was able to mutter out in a pure flushed fashion.
