Lilly wasn't looking at me the same way she used to. She wasn't smiling, but she still stared. Her big curious eyes were always peeking and looking at me. I thought I had scared her. Viana sat in the front seat with Robbie, checking on me from time to time through the rearview mirror.

Robbie's hoodless Jeep was old but quiet. That's what I liked most about it. It helped me keep my peace and enjoy the ride. We passed through a few roads covered in gigantic tall trees. Sometimes, there wasn't much sunlight passing through them, only birds and peaceful silence.

"You are going to love Greenland. Most peaceful place I've ever been to," Robbie said, breaking the silence. "These roads are pretty quiet, right? They lead to the city, town, and island. Imagine the peace. It's everything."

"So, you two knew my mother?" I asked.

"Sweet Sarah Blue, yes, we did," Robbie replied.

"Brave Limya, her real name. She didn't use that name after she ran away with you. She always called you her little blue. You had glowing blue eyes when you were a baby, with a hint of grey," Viana said.

"Did you know my father? What am I?" I asked.

"No, your mother never really had many relationships or friends. We barely saw her dating anyone. She was smart, kind, honest, and brave. One of the purest hearts I've met. The last man we saw her with was a professor from the university she attended. He was ten, twelve years older than her. I didn't see any romance there. They always sounded like professionals, talking mostly about humanity, what's right and wrong in human laws. She said they studied history together. They were odd friends. A few months later, they found him dead in a car accident. We never went to the funeral. She wasn't much into those things. After that, she never really had any friends. He was the last person she was close to. That's why it was all strange.

"Two years later, she was feeling sick; we found out she was pregnant with you. She was silent; she didn't say much. I guess she was ashamed of herself. But one night, she asked me, 'Why are you looking at me like that, Viana? I actually don't know who the father is because I never slept with anyone.'

"I didn't know how to answer her. We couldn't do anything. I wanted to believe her back then, but I didn't know how to. At least, I should have respected all the years I had been with her. She was the most honest person I knew. But I broke her heart by staying silent. You were born in seven months, and your mother was the most relaxed pregnant woman I had ever seen. I guess you didn't trouble her that much. She was lucky that way.

"Once, we were walking back to our house, and this monk stopped right in front of us, staring at her. 'Sweet, sweet child, he is a miracle,' he said. We freaked out and ran away from him. He shouted, 'Don't stay here. Leave, leave, go somewhere peaceful. Save him.' She was confused, lost. Those words shocked her. I talked to my father, told him what that monk said and everything about her. He wasn't shocked.

"Her father was my father's brother. We were sisters; we grew up together. He was the only parent we had growing up. Your grandfather passed away when we were very young. My father had some friends in Greenland. He said it's the most peaceful place in the world. And we moved to Greenland. That's where I met Robbie. He was a doctor in the local hospital there. One of my father's friends introduced him to us. We told him about her and her condition. He was right there with us when you were born. The day Limya saw your face, your blue eyes, I never saw her happy like that, holding you all the time and talking to you all the time. You became her world.

"Once you were born, we tested your DNA. We couldn't find any match, not even to Professor Ivan. It was strange. I finally realized she was telling the truth, but I still couldn't believe anything that was happening. It obsessed her with you and not knowing who your father was. Some doctors said there's only her DNA in you. Nothing else. Even Robbie said so.
