I stepped off of the plane and one of the Hostesses passed me my cases and smile a very fake smile at me through her yellowing teeth and bright red lipstick. Eugh.

"I hope you had a nice journey on Turkish Airlines, are you staying here long?"

"Cut the crap lady, it's none of your buisness" I said back at her, grabbing my cases and walking off towards the parking lott.

Right, Dad said he'd meet me right here. Just outside the gates.

I flipped open my phone and text him too let him know I had arrived and was waiting. Damn.. Is it normal to feel this nervous?

I put my cases down and decided too sit on them after fifteen minutes of waiting. I saw other families re-united and groaned internally. Come on Dad!

Just then , I heard a car honking and I turned around too see Dad's old White Dasher coming towards me. Honestly, I still can't belive he's got it still. He climbed out of the car and walked over to me, smiling.

"Alice! I've missed you baby" He said, squeezing me into a bear hug.

"Erm... Dad?"

"Yeah?"

"Lacking oxygen"

He let go of me and gave me a sheepish look, tears in his eyes. He pushed some of my hair behind my ear an cupped my face in his hands. I smiled slightly as I also took in his appearance. He had my blue eyes and a built body. Not fat-Just broad. He was also bald... Damn, when did that happen?

"Come on then, let's get you home" He said, climbing into the car.

i followed suit and put my cases in the back seat before climbing into his car. After half an hour of an awkward silence, Dad sighed and started whistling a tune on the radio. Oh, how fitting. Highway to Hell by ACDC. Doen't this just say a lot for my situation? I know it's not Dad's fault, but I had a life back home. All I can see for miles around here is tree's, more tree's and guess what? Even more freakin' tree's!

"You getting out Alice?" Dad asked me.

I smiled slightly at him and blushed at my gormed out state. I then climbed out and followed him inside to the house that I haven't been in for over ten years. Really, it hasn't changed much. The walls are still the light pastel colours that mum chose and it's all the floors are still wooden.

Dad took my cases upstairs and I followed suit too see my room and how much it had changed. I walked in and raised my eyebrows. It was still light pink with Barbie stickers all over it. The bed was still Queen sised with white covers and I still had my white dresser and wardrobe. I sighed as Dad smiled sheepishly at me.

"Sorry, I erm.. I didn't know what colours you liked, so I decided too let you do whatever you want with it"

"It's cool, I dont plan on staying here long anyway"

He just shrugged and walked out of the room, seemingly upset. I turned around to apologise too him, but he shut the door. I heard his heavy steps down the stairs and I sighed. I seriously shouldn' have said that. Argh. When did you turn into such a bitch Alice?!

I sat on my bed and checked my phone, too see I had a missed call from Hattie, my best friend back in Kansas. I decided to turn my phone off and begin unpacking. Guess I have to put up with it for a while..
