The next week, Araminta got into the routine at Hogwarts and felt a lot more like herself.

Classes were pretty good. She was on top of all her school work, she was getting a sufficient amount of sleep and staying as far away as she could from Draco.

He seemed to have gotten the message as well.

"Look, I'm just saying. Kill Dudley. Kiss Trevor. And fuck Fred," affirmed Helena as she surveyed the Gryffindor quidditch team practicing from the stands.

"Yeah, I'd probably have to agree with you. Although Dudley's not all that bad. I'd probably rather kiss him than Trevor," disclosed Araminta, munching on a packet of pink coconut ice. Her favourite.

"That's because you've always had a weird thing for blondes," teased the auburn-haired girl, taking a bite from the square of the delicious treat.

"Hey. I'm in short supply of these," shying the packet away. "And I do not have a thing for blondes," confirmed Araminta, observing of the quidditch field.

"Okay Min, if that's why you say. But do you know what I can't believe? That Poppy and Freeda are in the library. Studying. Instead of watching the Gryffindor hunks train,"

"You heard them. They said their parents will tear them limb to limb if they don't pick up their grades and pass their O.W.L.s."

"Still, it's not very often you get to watch Jack Sloper, dripped in sweat in his uniform," grinned Helena, practically licking her lips.

"Merlin- you're horny," claimed Araminta.

"I haven't fucked anyone in a MONTH," retorted Helena, putting emphasis on the last word. "Can you blame me? At least you've got Vince looking up at you every five seconds."

"Definitely not, he's in the middle of training." Araminta searched the field for the brown-haired Gryffindor, to see he was in fact looking at her and offered her a small wave and smile.

Araminta waved back. "Yikes," she blurted, smiling through her teeth.

"Why don't you just go out with him already? Or at least fuck him? If you don't, I will," cautioned Helena.

"He's all yours," scorned Araminta as she hoped up from the stands.

"But I can't. Because he likes you." Helena followed.

Araminta rolled her eyes as she listened to her friend go off on a tangent about how they would make the perfect couple.

When Araminta and Helena left the quidditch pitch on route to their common room, a voice sounded from behind them.

"Hey Min!"

Araminta whirled around to see Vincent running from the quidditch pitch towards them. Still drenched in sweat, broom in hand.

"Oh hey Vince, good job at practice," complimented Araminta.

"Thanks for coming to watch me."

Araminta cringed. He thought she only came to watch because of him. Does he not realise there were six other Gryffindor boys at practice with him?

"Yeah, um, anytime," smiled Araminta.

"I'll just leave you two. I'll be back at the common room, Min. Bye Vince!" Interjected Helena, giving Araminta a cautioning look before turning away.
