Chapter 5- Her Own Worth

Note: Ok... I'm trying my best to update as much as I could. I've been trying to ask second opinions about changing the contents of my account. I want to try and do a variety of fanfiction stories from different animes.

"U-Um.. They're not powerful enough, but... I think we should fight with these members as a team after all!" Tenma said

Shindou was obviously against with the idea, "Raimon practiced so hard to be chosen as representatives until we bled! Don't you understand, Tenma?! This is the world tournament!" Shindou argued

"If we fight this match with everything we got, I'm sure the others will follow us! I just don't think these members were chosen for no reason!" Tenma argued back as Shindou balled his hands into a fist

"Tenma." He muttered

They suddenly heard the sound of someone running. The sound was getting louder in which they realized that its coming towards them. They both turned to see Tsurugi approaching them.

"Tenma, come with me!" Tsurugi called

Matatagi stood on one side while everyone else (minus Raimon boys, and Luna) on the other side of the room. The tension in the room is slowly rising as they interrogated him.

"You're the only one among us who would steal it, Matatagi-kun." Manabe said

The three boys then came rushing in the room to see the commotion that is going on there.

"Is it true that your wallet is missing?" Tenma asks Manabe.

"Yes." Manabe replied

"He says hasn't forgotten it back at the boarding house either." Minaho informs them

"But that doesn't mean you should suspect Matatagi!" Tenma interjects

Manabe turns to Matatagi, "I've heard that Matatagi was once caught stealing in the past, so you're the only one likely to steal my wallet."

"I didn't do it." Matatagi denies his accusation

"Minaho-kun, what do you think?" Manabe asks the detective of this case

"We need conclusive evidence. We don't even have circumstantial evidence at the moment," Minaho then points his finger on him. "Your reasoning is still pretty faulty"

"Just whose side are you on?!" Manabe exclaims

"Stop it! We have a game to play! We are representatives' players! Everyone has their expectations in us! So, we need to fight in a way that won't cause embarrassment, and win!" Tenma scolds them

From there the three Raimon boys finally found out the secret behind the sudden hiring of the non-soccer players. They found out some of their contracts. Tetsukado wants to earn money to fix his family's broken fishing boat while Sakura was there, so that she can study abroad in the world's best gymnastics team. Ibuki is there to cover the costs of studying in abroad in an overseas basketball team, and Matatagi wants to buy a big house for his family to live in.

Tenma and Tsurugi suddenly wondered, "Was she also hired by Coach Kuroiwa just to get something in return for her own benefit?"

Minaho, who saw their expression, approached them without any hesitation.
