Chapter 6- A Small Change

"So, what are we going to do now?" Tenma asks

"As much as I wanna do the same plan again, we can't, it'll take up a lot of Shindou and Luna's stamina." Tsurugi said

"Yeah, and we still need them to help us in both offense and defense." Tenma inquired

"You're right. For now, we won't use that plan unless it is necessary, and honestly we just got lucky with that plan." Luna said

"Speaking of luck, how did you know that Ibuki can throw the ball that far?" Shindou asks

"Oh that, he did it once without even noticing it yesterday." Luna said

"I see, we can talk about that later. For now, we need to find a way to get past the defense. It's tough bringing the ball up with just Tsurugi and Tenma." Shindou inquires

"You're right, and we can't keep using Luna. They'd be more wary of her by now." Tsurugi said

"I want you to let me fight with you."

They all turned to the person who wasn't far off from them to hear their conversation, and it was none other than Matatagi Hayato, the boy from the track club.

"What?" Shindou mutter as Matatagi approaches them, "I know I'm not anywhere near the level where I can challenge the world, like you guys. But I want to reach your level even for a little bit." His eyes were brimming with determination, "So, teach me how to play soccer!"

"Matatagi..." Luna muttered to herself

"I know it's not something to ask during the game..."

"Matatagi! Okay, let's do it!" He then turned to Shindou, "You're okay with that, right, Shindou-san?"

"It's worth giving a try." Tsurugi said as Shindou sighs, "Fine."

The game resumes with Inazuma Japan's ball. Matatagi moves forward, but when he dribbles, he kick the ball to hard. Despite using too much force, he manages to keep the ball within his feet, and created a new style of dribbling that only he could pull off. He then passes the ball to Tenma then passes it to Tsurugi as all three move forwards.

"Not bad, Matatagi." Luna comments

"Now this is unexpected..." Minaho tells himself

"No fair! He's standing out all on his own." Sakura complains

"Don't get so worked up!" Tetsukado said

They started to move up as well. Manabe remained at his post not moving an inch from his spot as he observes his teammates. At one point, Matatagi makes on his dribbling that ball went to Sakura's direction. Before the opponents manage to retrieve the ball, Sakura picks up the ball like how she does it in rhythmic gymnastics, and passes it to Tetsukado. They have manage to pass the ball around

"They're so desperate." Lee Chun-yoon said

Meanwhile on the sidelines, Minori and Kuroiwa are watching the scene before them.

"Whatever could this be?" She asks Kuroiwa

"It's a change, and the ones who brought about that change are those three." He said as he refers to the Raimon trio
