It started out subtly. Unnoticeable. Unrecognizable.
The occasional controlling tendency just grew and grew up until it blew up in my face.
And I stayed. I didn't feel the need to leave him even though I felt very much threatened.
I stayed. And submitted to him, making him feel more and more powerful. Giving him the upper hand against me.
Until it all turned terribly awry.
