It's been a year since Shōyō had passed. A year of grief, pain, and sorrow that over flowed Kageyama everyday. Their appartement felt so empty and cold without Hinata's presence. This often caused a mess of sorts. Dust building up on picture frames of the two lovers together. Kageyama experiences nightmares of the day Hinata died. Memories from highschool and everything afterwards flood into his head. The ring Hinata had bought was always on Kageyama's fingers. The words replayed in his head: "Our love was once in a lifetime, and i'm glad it was with you.". He just wished he could go back in time.

Kageyama starts going through Hinata's stuff. He finds his jersey, multiple pictures of Kageyama, a group photo from Karasuno. He even found a notebook titled "Journal". Kageyama, of course, decided to read through it. The dates went all the way back into highschool. There were entries expressing how amazing Kageyama was. How talented he was. Tears spill out of his eyes, dripping right onto the pages.
Then, he found it. An entry explaining his love and admiration for Kageyama. How he so desperately wanted a future with him. How they were the main characters of their own world. They would never grow old, they'd stay young forever, in love forever, together forever.
The pain set in harder than it had ever before. Kageyama wails begging for another chance with Hinata. Another chance to show how much he meant to him. To just love him once more. In their own little world. In their own lifetime. Just them, together.

The sunlight comes in through the window, getting in Kageyama's eyes. It was comforting. He saw the light was reflecting perfectly off of a picture of the two boys. Just then, all that Kageyama knew to do was to say "Thank you," he sighs "Thank you, Hinata for showing me what love is."
