A slight knock on the door broke Jimin's concentration as he looked up from the book he's been reading so keenly. It was one of the palace guards peeking their head from the thick wooden door.

"Your majesty wants to see you" the words were enough to make a frown decorate Jimin's face. He knew what it was about that his majesty, his grandfather wanted from him.

"Right behind you" He closed the book, not forgetting to put a feather bookmark where he left, and left the room silently following the guard.

The corridors he was walking through were known to him like back of his head as he grew up inside these walls. For the past 29 years, these walls knew him, his story. He walked ahead, reaching the huge oak door with beautiful wooden carvings on the outside. The door reached up-to the ceiling and was humongous.

He knocked swiftly on the door before a low voice came out from the other side saying come in. Jimin obliged and went straight ahead inside the room, while the guard stood a few metres away from him in his position, head bowed low.

In the room was his grandfather. Old and wrinkled but still fair as sun. He had that aura. He smiled at his grandson and told him to sit down once Jimin had bowed to the old man out of respect.

"I have something for you today son" the old man said and pulled out a file from his drawer.

"New mission?" Jimin asked, taking the file up from the similarly carved wooden table as the door. The old man nodded, letting Jimin go through the contents of the file.

It was yet another of their usual family works, making people fall in love. Jimin looked through the file and read it carefully.

"This case might be a little different for you. A simple woosh-a-push won't work this time,"the old man said looking through the glasses set on the bridge of his nose.

Jimin nodded his head when he was done going through the file, he looked back at his grandfather and started talking.

"When do I have to dispatch?" he asked, shutting the file off and keeping it with him.

"Tomorrow morning. I'm sure you'll complete this task just like you did all the others" the old man said and Jimin nodded at it. After a briefing on the task at hand, Jimin took a leave from the man in a long white coat.

Park Jimin is the cupid. He is from the Park brood and is the youngest cupid among all his siblings being only 15 when he completed his first mission.

His grandfather was the real deal but since he got old and was too blunt with his love arrows, he passed the mantle of matchmaking to Jimin. His father was also one of the cupids but he was not as successful at making people fall in love as Jimin.

Jimin only knows business. He was known for being the best out of all the others in the family, stating he has a way with words and his tricks. Every couple he was assigned, he made sure they ended up together. If not by mutual understanding then by a shot of arrow right in the middle of their chest.

Now, he has a new mission. Another poor pair that needed the help of a cupid to fall in love.

Jimin never understood the concept of love and it was ironic because he himself was the embodiment of love.

For him, the admiration he shares while he sees the moon from his window was love, the care he had for his mother was love and the respect he had for his friends and other family members was love. Never did he understand the real meaning of love, and what is so magical about people committing to one another till death do them part. It was all just a work thing for him.

"You got another mission?" As soon as Jimin entered his room, the voice of his best friend Kim Taehyung caught his attention.

Taehyung was another one of the cupids from the Kim brood. He's been best friends with Jimin ever since the younger turned 4. He admired Jimin for the way he does work and was inspired to become like him one day even though he hadn't gotten any of his missions yet.

Watching the boy splayed on his bed, Jimin nodded his head. He sat down beside the younger one, taking a deep and tired breath.

"When are you going to take a break? Haven't you been on a mission last month?" Taehyung asked, concerned about his friend.

"I will. This is the last mission I'll complete this year and then I will ask Grandfather for a break" Jimin answered, sounding gruff. Taehyung didn't believe him but didn't stretch the matter any longer.

"When are you leaving? Can I come with you too?" The excited younger asked his friend, who was now on his way to his closet to pack his belongings.

"Tomorrow morning and no you can't come. Grandfather won't like it" Jimin answered, placing his clothes neatly in the bag. Taehyung huffed a little but knew convincing Jimin for something is next to impossible once he set his mind to it.

After a few hours of helping Jimin pack and other unless banter later, Taehyung finally left the elders room. He walked to his bed, laying down flat on his back. He was staring at the ceiling thinking of how his Next Week or two will be spent on another world, the mortal world.

He looked at his side and his eyes landed on the black file placed on his bedside table. He slightly raised himself up on his elbows to pick up the file. The first page displayed the necessary information about his next client. A girl. Named Song Y/N.

Her personal aspects consisted of a single mother living in Daegu while she lived alone in Seoul in a rented apartment and worked in a private software designing firm as head developer. The person of interest being her boss.

"How hard can it be? She can't be that unlucky, right? Right" with that thought he shut the file and went back to taking the little sleep he'd get before leaving early morning.

Next Morning

"I'll miss you Jimin. Please be back soon" Taehyung whined, hugging his little friend before meeting with his grandfather and preparing for the journey to the Mortal world.

"I will miss you too, Tae. Don't trouble others while I'm gone. Ok" Jimin instructed, breaking free from the bone crushing hug of the younger and made his way to the old man.

"Even though you don't need it but Good luck son" Jimin's grandfather hugged him one last time before he did his thing and in the next second Jimin found himself in a different world. The Mortal World.

It was not very different from his world back there but it was not the same either. He stood up to look around to recognise where he landed after that aabra-ka-dabra the old man pulled when something landed right on top of his head. Something wet.

"Umm.. Hey! I'm sorry but could you please give me my top back?" the source of the foreign but feminine voice came from somewhere upwards.

He looked around the big buildings surrounding him and his eyes landed on her. There she was. Wet hair, towel hanging on one shoulder and hand stretched out towards Jimin. She was Song Y/N. Jimin's client for the mission.
