This found poem is inspired by the line "Nobody would ever miss him, or at least Regulus thought as much every time he saw the Grim after that. " from the first chapter of my story Upside Down Mirror: A Grim Fate.
Every time he saw the Grim
Regulus knew
Nobody would ever miss him.Regulus didn't know
When he happened to know
Simply that he knew for sure
The first day the Grim was there
The death omen bloody obvious
To everyone and yet no one
As Regulus' lips remained mum
About the presence of the GrimEvery time he saw the Grim
Regulus knew
Nobody would ever miss him.Sirius wouldn't care
To learn that his younger brother
Knew from the summer Sirius ran away
That he would in fact die young
Sirius stopped caring
When Regulus was sorted all wrong
Instantly becoming a snake in the grass
And a Death Eater in the makingEvery time he saw the Grim
Regulus knew
Nobody would ever miss him.Bellatrix would laugh
Reveled even in the revelation
Possibly even tried being the one
To make the revelation come true
Even expecting it given his personality
Ever so unbefitting for one of them
She wouldn't miss him in the slightest
Unless you count losing her toyEvery time he saw the Grim
Regulus knew
Nobody would ever miss him.Walburga would scream
But then his maman always screamed
When something didn't go her way
She'd eventually quiet down
Forgetting about him like always
Not bothered by his death the slightest
For Regulus never met the mark
Not like Sirius ever didEvery time he saw the Grim
Regulus knew
Nobody would ever miss him.Orion would remain quiet
Emotionless as always
Regulus was the spare just in case
But they'd still have the original
So the loss of the spare wouldn't matter
Wouldn't not in the slightest
His attention would turn back
To the heir that in fact matteredEvery time he saw the Grim
Regulus knew
Nobody would ever miss him.Arcturus would connive
Think of some manner in which
He might pull the black sheep back in
He'd of course notice the death
A mere inconvenience in all schemes
Yet also convenient in forcing
The hand of the heir who strayed
Of bringing the black sheep backEvery time he saw the Grim
Regulus knew
Nobody would ever miss him.Over and over he saw
The Grimm standing their
Mocking him as his tongue hung out
Telling him that his life was short-lived
Nor no future was held for him
He was the undeserving spare
Regulus didn't know
When he happened to knowEvery time he saw the Grim
Regulus knew
Nobody would ever miss him.
