Nick~
I woke up seeing Karina wrapped up around my arms.
She looks so peaceful and beautiful.
I quietly snuck out of the room and went to the kitchen.
I decided to make breakfast so I made French toast since I know that Karina likes those.
After 10 minutes setting the table I heard foot steps.
"Good morning." she said.
"Good morning. Breakfast is served."
"Mmmm. Looks yummy."
We sat down and started to eat.
After we were done, Karina went to her room. I sighed and cleaned the dishes.
Karina~
I went in the room and changed.
I brushed and curled my hair. Then I changed into a tank top with a skeleton on it, a red flannel around my waist, black leggings, and a red bandana around my head. I put my red vans on and did my basic make up.
I got out seeing Nick wearing sweats with no shirt.
His six pack though...
"Hey." I said quietly.
"Hi... you look nice."
"Thanks."
I sat next to him, putting my feet up on his lap.
Nick~
"So, what do you want to do today?" I asked her.
"Hmm... I'm not really sure. What do you want to do?"
"We can sit here and watch movies or..."
"We could go to the park."
After 2 minutes of silence, we both yelled :
"PARK!"
We laughed at each other and I said, "Okay. Let me change and we'll go."
"Okay."
I went to my room and changed into shorts and a random shirt.
I went downstairs, grabbed the keys, and then gently grabbed Karina's hand.
She held it back and we went outside to the car.
Karina~
We went in the car and I said, excitingly, "I CANT WAAAAAIIIIITTTTT!"
"Woah, Karina. Come down."
I giggled and looked out the window.
How can I be happy? I was so depressed but when Nick came in my life... everything changed. I stopped cutting and I'm smiling. I just thought nobody would... they don't care.
I was lost in my thoughts when I got a little shake on the shoulder from Nick.
"Come on Karina."
"Ya. Sorry. Just thinking."
"About?"
"Nothing. Just forget it."
Nick~
Woah. There's something wrong.
"Karina. What's wrong?" I asked, while getting out of the car.
"Nothing."
She's lying.
"Karina." I went to her and put my hand on her shoulder.
She looked away and walked to a spot on the grass.
I followed her, seeing her laying down, looking up at the clouds.
I sat and laid down next to her.
She had her hands on her stomach and her feet were crossed.
What was going on in her mind?
"Karina, what were you thinking about?"
"Nick. It's nothing." She said quietly, not looking at my direction.
"No. You're lying." I said as I sat up.
She sat up and her eyes looked like glass.
"Ok! Fine. I'm lying. But it has nothing for you to be worried about because there's nothing you could do about it. Just worry about yourself."
"No Karina I won't worry about myself because my main priority is to worry about you. You should already know that. I want to protect you. That's why now you're living with me. I want you to keep you safe!"
"I'm not a baby." She quietly said.
She got up and started to walk away.
I caught up to her.
When I got to her I grabbed her arm and spun her around.
She had a scared face.
Karina~
When her spun me around I was so scared. He had a angry face. The angriest face that I've ever seen on him before.
I backed up but he stepped forward.
"What the fuck was that?!" He yelled.
I looked down. "I'm not a child. Leave me alone."
His face softened but his jaw clenched.
"I didn't say you were! Why the fuck don't you understand that?"
I had enough. My eyes started to bring tears. Ruining my make up as I sunk to the floor and brought my knees up to my chest and put my head down shutting the world. I just want to die. I don't want pain.
Nick~
As she sunk to the floor, I heard little sobs escape her mouth.
Oh no. I didn't mean to make her cry. She already has to much pain.
"No, no. Karina." I said as I sunk down in front of her.
"Don't cry." I whispered.
Her sobs became more louder and all I could think of was what have I done?
"Karina," I began saying, but she interrupted me, saying, "Take me home."
I got up and she followed me into the car.
And then the silence began.
