Mako and Bolin's Long Lost Sister

Ch 2(part 1)

Mi Yu's POV
When Kikki, Kaya and I got back to our apartment I literally flopped onto the couch and fell asleep. I got up really early the next morning, changed and decided to take a walk around the city. Before I left, I left a note for Kikki and Kaya saying that I was going for a walk, and that when I get back we'll head to the gym at the arena to practice.

Once I got outside I breathed in the fresh morning air and was mesmerized by the sunset. I continued my way down town when I overheard someone talking about this ball that would be held for the avatar. Curious, I walked over to them and asked what they were talking about. When they filled me in I decided I should go, so I walked around a little more till I headed home to tell Kikki and Kaya the news.

We decided to go, and guess what? It was tonight, so first we decided to go to the arena gym, before we would get ready for the ball that was open to anyone. When we got to the arena gym we quickly did some warm ups. Then I decided to create some lighting, and I felt the wonderful tingly sensation that overcomes you when you bend lightning, I then reflected it into a target blowing the target up.

I absolutely loved to fire bend, people thought of fire as destruction when actually it was life. Kaya snapped me out of the thoughts when she said,"Mi Yu, are you ready to warm up some more," I nodded and we started to pass a ball around really fast. This helped with our reflexes, and it actually does come in handy to do this.

Then we decided to work on our dodging, and your probably wondering if we're so good why we are still practicing all the time. Well first it's so that we stay in shape, and second we were embarrassed on losing to those fire ferrets so we decided to step up our game to the next level if that was even possible.

Kikki started aiming disks as Kaya and I and we both started dodging them and blasting them to pieces using our bending. I kept on shooting the disks with fire blasts, and daggers, and then for dodging them I back flipped; front flipped and straight up moved from side to side to get out of the way. When we were done practicing we left and went home. I got into my closet and pulled out a box.

In the box was my mother's dress and it was absolutely beautiful. It was one of those possessions that I saved from the fire and I treasured it dearly. The dress was long and went to my ankles. There was a small leg slit, and on one side it was off the shoulder. The dress was mixes of reds, yellows, and organizes and it kind of fell down in waves. The dress was absolutely beautiful.

I then asked Kaya to do my make up, and for Kikki to do my hair. I then put on the dress and when I looked in the mirror I saw a beautiful stranger but I realized it was me. The reason is, is because I never really dress up in dresses, and I don't bother to put make up on, and I usually just pull my hair back in a ponytail but today I looked completely like a whole new person.

Kikki and Kaya both said that I looked great, but I to,d them they looked even better and they smiled. We then left and headed to the ball. When we got there some people came up to us asking for signatures and after a few minutes of signing pictures of us we escaped. Then when I left to get punch I bumped into the fire bender from the fire ferrets. I said,"I'm sorry and was about to walk away but he said,"Hey Mi Yu, thanks for saving my bro's life and also my name is Mako, and my bro's name is Bolin."

My eyes widened and I left eager to find Kikki and Kaya. Instead I found the water bender girl who is Korra, and by the way the avatar. We had a long conversation and she told me about how things were going for her and she was embarrassed after she told me her feeling about Mako, and how she just needed to get that off her chest. I smiled and said it was ok, and we became good friends. Then she left and I found Kikki, and Kaya and told them about how I might think that Mako and Bolin are my brothers.

Their eyes widened and they asked,"Really? Wow... That would be awesome," I smiled and nodded. Just then I heard a lot of noise near one of the corners of the ball room. When I looked that direction I saw councilman Tarrlock pressuring Korra to join the task force, and there were a bunch of reporters everywhere asking loads of questions until suddenly Korra yelled,"Alright! I'll join the task force to help bring Amon down,"

I sighed and slapped my palm to my forehead. You see when we were talking I found out about Tarrlock trying to get her to join the task force but she said no, also when we talked we told our whole life story so when we were done we acted like we new each other for years.

I then walked over to Korra and said,"Do you know what you just brought yourself into?" Then I left with Kikki and Kaya but we were stopped by Mako. He then said,"Mi Yu, can I talk to you alone for a bit?" I looked back at my friends and gave them a look that said go ahead. Mako led me away from earshot and said,"Mi Yu, is that you?" For a second I was confused but then it all came back crashing down on me. Mako and Bolin were my brothers. I nodded and he hugged me saying how he missed me a lot and asked how I was still alive. I told him, and then I made my way back home, after I had scheduled to do something with Bolin and him the next day.
