6 - The Presentation 📃

A few days after the sleepover, the presentation day came.
Luz woke up nervously that morning and so did Amity. They both were scared about having a bad mark. Luz was worried but Amity was much more than her. If Amity had a bad mark in the presentation, Odalia would make her work twice as hard as she already did in school work and would prohibit her to be with Luz.

In Amity's room, at the Blight Manor, that morning...

- Okay, Amity... You and Luz worked really hard on this project... You memorized the whole script... Everything will be okay... Just go there and get a good mark with Luz! That's easy! Hah... I guess...- Amity said to herself, while looking at herself in the mirror.

Odalia entered Amity's room

- Good morning, Amity... Today is the day of your presentation, am I right? - Odalia asked.

- Yes, mom... It's today... - Amity answered.

- Well... Then I wish you good luck! And... If you get a bad mark... You already know what will happen so... Don't mess things up... - Odalia threatened.

- Yes, mom... I won't mess things up... - Amity said.

- Good... - Odalia said while walking to the door.

Odalia left the room

Amity sighed and said while looking at herself in the mirror

- All my life... I've been constantly controlled by my parents... Specially my mom... I wonder if I should try changing that...

- Mittens! Come on! We have to go! - Emira shouted from the other corner of the manor.

- Coming!

Amity walked downstairs and all the Blight siblings went in the direction of Hexside.

At Hexside...

Amity walked in Hexside and started putting in and taking out some books from her locker.

- Oh... I need my lucky charm... - Amity said while looking inside her locker.

Amity looked here, looked there but there was no sign of her lucky charm.

- Wh-Where is it?!? - Amity said, panicking. - Oh no no no... How will I be able to do this without my-

-... Lucky charm? - someone said.

Amity looked in the direction of the voice she heard and saw Boscha

Boscha was holding Amity's lucky charm, a photo of Luz and Amity, together.

- Boscha... Give it back! Now! - Amity said angrily.

- Why? Can't you just do your presentation without this? - Boscha asked even if she already knew the answer.

- N-no... I mean... It's complicated... Please just give it to me... - Amity begged. - My parents will kill me if I get a bad mark on this presentation... I can't let them get upset...

- And why should I do this favor to you? I did it already! Twice! I didn't tell Luz about your crush AND I didn't post that photo I wanted to post on Penstagram because of you! I'm done with being nice! I will only give you this back after the presentation! - Boscha answered angrily.

- No you won't! Just give it back! - Amity begged loudly.

- Pfft... Alright...

Boscha let go of the picture and it flew inside of the trash can.

- Good luck with getting it back... Hah... Byeeee! - Boscha evily said while walking away.

Amity ran to the trash can and looked inside it
