Himiko is happy.

Not just the average 'how do you feel' happy but the 'life is finally looking up' happy.

For a lack of a better word: SHE IS PSYCHED!

A Mother who shows her affection by listening to her, going shopping and asking whether she wants something, cooking delicious meals with her in mind, even her special dietary requirements and most of all who is not afraid to give her a big, long and warm hug. Even when working, she is always available for her, should Himiko require it. Just a phone call away from someone who loves her unconditionally.

A Dad who, by all who know him is considered the second most dangerous person on this planet, yet showers her with affection, both verbal as well as physical, and will literally commit any crime for her, and just like her new mother is always only a speed-dial away.

And an older brother, one who reached out for her, when she was at her lowest, saving her from herself and the world, being her shoulder to cry on and the foundation to build upon a new, better life filled with love and hope.

Right now she is sitting next to her new mother, having finished the paperwork, and therefore being officially adopted into the new- her new family.

"Well Himiko, with that concluded I believe it is best we show you to your new room. We already prepared the necessities, and will, after a little get together and introduction talk, tomorrow visit the mall and then you can buy all the things you want, wall paint, new furniture if not satisfactory and lots of decorations. BUT all that after a good night's rest."

Her new Dad says with a tired but still kind voice.

They stayed up until 3 am for her after all and still are not in the slightest annoyed or even grumpy. Incredibly hard to believe for her, having known only parents who would get annoyed if she even looks at them.... It fills her with another wave of happiness.

Her future indeed seems to be bright and warm!

A good night's sleep later she groggily wakes up to the smell of delicious sweet and fruity pancakes, the warm rays of sunshine reaching her through the gaps in between the curtains and a comfy bed.

Being in heaven is the only thing in her mind.

She rolls over and looks around the- her room.

It was a medium sized room, fairly squared in layout, with two big floor-to-ceiling windows directly next to one another, opening up about 2/3 of one wall. The windows are covered by deep red and beige layered curtains, giving the impression a vampire would be living in the room by how thick they are and how well they block out the sun. The floor is a dark beige carpet flooring with a deep red circular plush carpet which layers partially under her bed and study desk. Her red and black bed rests with the headrest on the left wall from the doors perspective with the windows being directly opposite of the door. Her desk is directly next to the bed, between it and the windows. Her very own wardrobe is placed on the wall to the doors right and is considerably larger than any wardrobe she had seen before, taking up almost half of the wall. Next to both the wardrobe and the desk are two shelves for books, decoration or other clutter she might want to place there. All her furniture is in the same light wooden colouring. For now that is pretty much all. Very barebones but she can fill it once she gets to the mall.

She likes the colour theme though. Makes it feel like a cats den with just enough red to be perfect.

For now she stretches herself and flips back the sheets.

Her new and very comfy pyjamas, consisting of a pair of beige shorts with a deep red t-shirt, making her shiver a little at the loss of the warmth the sheets had provided, but by no means was it anywhere near cold temperatures in the household.
