i woke up beads of sweat dripping down his face. that was terrifying, it made me want to hug tanjiro so bad. i looked over at the clock on the side of my bed and realised that it was only 6pm.  there was still time to meet up with tanjiro! i take out my phone and texted him

to: tanjiro

hey want to meet up at our favourite place?

my mind was racing again replaying my memories of kanao and tanjiros convosation, 

ding!

tanjiro had already replied but it wasnt what i expected

NEW MESSAGE

from:tanjiro 

sorry! im out with nezuko, maybe tomorrow?

my heart sunk as i saw this message. at least he wasnt with kanao.

TANJIRO POV

i felt extremely guilty when i typed this message.

he knew that zenitsu didnt like kanao, thats why he had lied, i was on a date with kanao right now. i gulped hoping that zenistu wouldnt find out about this lie. i wouldve done anything just to see zenitsu right now. i know that kanao is taking advantage of me, spending my money that i worked extra hours for, i just didnt want to admit it.

ZENISTU POV

i decided to go on a walk to clear my mind, and i passed a restaurant, one of the most fanciest ive seen as well. i saw the familiar burgundy red hair and a girl weariung butterfly clips. i froze. 

no way. 

he was with kanao?

that was when my heart shattered, i couldnt believe him. he lied about being out with nezuko? god damn he really did love kanao. so much that he had to lie to him so called 'bestfriend' i could see them laughing together. and when kanao leaned in pouting her lips like she was about to kiss tanjiro, i couldnt stand it anymore and left. this pain, all because of one boy. was love even real for him?

TANJIRO POV

my eyes widened when i saw that blond hair with orange tips. z-zenitsu?

before i could do anything kanao leaned over and kissed me i couldnt do anything. as soon as the kiss finished i looked back at the window but zenitsu was no longer there. 

i had messed up this time.

KANAO POV

yes! i had done it! zenistu came at the right time. all i needed to do was to make zenitsu hate tanjiro and tanjiro would be all mine! inosukes plan had worked better then i thought.

2 weeks ago

i looked around to see tanjiro and zenitsu laughing together. my heart was filled with jealousy, with rage, with anger.

a hand tapped me on the shoulder and whispered in my ear

"hey you like tanjiro dont you?"

i turned around to see inosuke, a boy who was my chemistry partner once.

"yeah... " i replied. what was he up to now?

"listen, ive got a plan for you and me to get what we both want."
