Jake or Dhruv?

*next morning*

It's 11:30?! Oh wait, I'm on vacation. I think I should call Jake... 

"hello?" 

Oh god he is speaking.... 

"Hey, it's-" 

This man didn't let me finish my sentence either. 

"Myra.. I know it's you. Risa told me you called. And um I tried to call back but you never picked up" 

"I'm sorry, I was busy. How are you?" I asked. 

"I'm good, how are you? Planning on running away again?" he joked. 

Funny. It's the way they know me so well and still decided to fall for an ass like me three years ago.

"Mhm maybe. It doesn't matter anymore, you have Risa and I'm sure she will never leave you."

"Aha, I know that. Missed you a lot to be honest." 

"Huh? Does your wife know you are telling a random girl you missed her?" I said sarcastically.

"Still with that sarcasm and for what?" he laughed. 

"You didn't answer my question ..." I said with a serious tone.

"Yes ma'am, she knows, and she is excited to meet you."

She is what?! Wait so she knows about me!? I wanna cry. 

"She knows who I am..?" I asked. 

"Yes ma'am she does." 

I don't know what to feel about this whole thing. 

"Come over sometime, if you have a boyfriend you can bring him too. Oh wait you push people away before giving them the title of your boyfriend" he said sarcastically. 

"Can I bring Dhruv?" I asked. 

"You guys are dating? Wait so you left that day and made him lie to me so you could chose him?" 

I can see where this whole misunderstanding is coming from. 

"No, I was in Paris for the past 3 years. Came back few days ago. Dhruv had no idea. I wen to see him yesterday after coming back." 

I don't know what else I'm supposed to say. 

I continued-

"Well, you found your partner and maybe I should give Dhruv a chance. This time I fixed myself and won't push anyone away." 

All he said was-

"Mhm, I hope we can stay friends at least". 

I want to cry because I'm happy with that response. 

I didn't wanted to lose a friend like Jake. And there shouldn't be any problem, he is already married. And I want to be with Dhruv now. 

"Of course we can! As long as Risa is okay with it I'm good" I said. 

"She is okay with it. This is exactly why she wants to see you. And yes bring Dhruv with you. I don't want to sit there while you and Risa start bonding" he replied with a laugh.

"Alright then, thanks Jake. Thanks for being understanding." 

"Thank YOU for finally helping yourself and contacting me after being okay. I was worried, and I'll send you the address."

"Alright, see ya."

I am happy. 

Time for me to call Dhruv and tell him I'm taking his ass with me. Wait no, I'll just text him. 

I texted him explaining everything about the talk I had with Jake. And my Mr Understanding understood and agreed to go with me. As he should.
