His room was cold, a bright sun shone through his window and past the part in his curtains. Under his blanket was warm, causing him to not want to get out of bed. He lied there for a while, before being jolted awake completely due to his alarm. He turned around swiftly in bed and practically smashed his phone in half, his body then slumped back as he let out a sigh and sat up in bed.
Taking a moment to observe his surroundings, he frowned.
"Still in the dream huh." He rested his elbows on his knees and ran his hand through his hair. He was so not ready to go back to his old highschool.
Slowly standing up, he'd stretch then fix his glasses. His mom appeared in the doorway, presumably to wish him luck on his exams.
"Good morning. Out of bed already? I'll make breakfast in a minute, get ready for school." She smiled warmly, then waved before heading to the kitchen.
He nodded and smiled back in response, rummaging through his drawers to find his uniform.

After getting ready and eating breakfast, he finished packing his things into his schoolbag and was heading out the door.
Before he could leave though, his mom stopped him.
"Good luck on exams. Have a good day dear." She smiled at him, and lightly grabbed his cheek for a second leaning in to kiss his forehead.
"Yeah.. thanks mom.." He mumbled, smiling back.
Waving to her as he left, he let out a yawn as he made his way around the corner. He barely remembered where his old highschool was, it was about a 15 minute walk from his house. He didn't have a bike, because they were too expensive. So he walked every single day, he didn't mind anyways, he thought the scenery was nice.
About half way there, Kiyoko who was deep in thought, got interrupted by someone.
From about 20 feet away two boys, who were much taller than him.. were calling out to someone.
"Hey Koko! What's the rush?" They each asked him, once close enough.
He found himself thinking,
'Stop calling me that.'
Even though he had no memory of these boys."What's your names again?" He asked blankly, examining their appearances.
"Oh-ho we're in a joking mood now are we?" One of the boys laughed, in a sarcastic tone.
The boy rested his elbow on Kiyoko's shoulder, bringing down his face to Kiyoko's level. "We've been friends for years.. and now you're gonna pretend to not know me?" He scoffed, pushing Kiyoko.
Alarmed by the push, Kiyoko gathered his balance quickly. He looked back at the two boys, genuinely confused.
For some reason he was starting to feel scared. But he stood his ground all the same.
"Come on. Say something. You know who I am, so if you have something to say than spit it out." The boy spoke in a condescending tone, shoving his hands in his pockets.
The other boy walked up next to him, also waiting for Kiyoko to respond.
Kiyoko had opened his mouth to say something but, couldn't think of anything..
"I don't remember." He just said this, and looked down hoping they would actually tell him instead of pushing him.
The two boys stayed silent for a minute, looking down on him. "This joke is pretty shit Kiyoko." He simply said before walking right in front of him, he paused again.
