Day 1 with the Mask Family

''Mom's home!'' Akira exclaimed as she entered the house after a long day's work. Cassidy, who was sitting on the couch, went over to greet Akira. She looked a bit worried ''What's wrong dear?'' Akira asked as she closed the door, looking at Cassidy's worried face. ''Ana and Angel are fighting again.'' Cassidy said as she let out a big sigh. Akira was not surprised. ''Where are they, hun?'' Akira asked the kid. Cassidy pointed to the backyard area, which was the place Angel and Ana were fighting in.

 Akira walked over to the backyard to see Ana and Angel yelling. ''Why are you arguing children?'' Akira asked them as she walked over to the two. ''Angel yelled at me for calling him Ankle, so he called me shorty and I got mad.'' Ana told her mother as she pouted. ''Well, you called me Ankle and I didn't like that!'' Angel told her. ''Now, now children. Ana, if you will call him Ankle, you have to let him call you shorty.'' Akira told Ana. ''But I don't like that nickname!'' Ana yelled. ''And Angel doesn't like the nickname Ankle, so don't call him that.'' . Ana crossed her arms and pouted ''Fine''. ''Good now two of you come to the kitchen. I'll make you cupcakes.'' Akira said with a smile. ''Alright.'' both of them said. 

Cassidy ran over to her mom ''Can I help bake?'' She asked. ''Of course sweetie!'' Akira said with a delightful smile on her face. When they finished, Zach and Shiro raced down the stairs while Ash got up from the couch and ran into the kitchen. ''We smelled cupcakes!'' Zach and Shiro exclaimed. ''I did too'' Ash told them. ''Well, you were right.'' Akira took out a tray of cupcakes from the oven. ''Be careful it's hot'' she told them as she placed the cupcake tray on the counter. Each one of them got a cupcake from the tray and ate them. ''Did you like it?'' Akira asked her children who were happily munching on their cupcakes. ''They're so good!'' Ash exclaimed. The others nodded in agreement. ''I'm glad you do!'' Akira exclaimed as they continued happily munching their cupcakes.

It was 9 pm in the evening, it was time for the kid's bedtime. Akira called them from upstairs saying to go to their rooms. Akira tucked them all in beds and said goodnight. She then went up to her room and continued to work on something. A few moments after she heard crying from one of the rooms. She got up, exited her room, and slowly walked through the hallways. She noticed the crying came from Ana's room. She slowly opened the door to find Ana on the floor crying. She went up to Ana, kneeled down, and asked her ''What's wrong sweetheart?''.  Ana looked up at her and said ''Am I really a disappointment? A mistake? A s|vt?'' . Akira looked at her and smiled ''Sweetheart, you're not any of those. You're a blessing. A beautiful person. And you never disappoint us.''. Ana looked at her and smiled ''Thanks Mom.''. ''No worries sweetie. Now get in your bed and head to sleep ^^'' Akira said. She tucked Ana in her bed and headed back to her room. She laid on her bed, ready to fall asleep. Thinking what would happen tomorrow.
