Harry's POV

Hermione, Ron, Ginny, and I enter the train and look around for open seats. "Good luck with the train Harry," Ginny says and she leaves us to go sit with some of her friends. "Come on Harry. We won't be able to get a box if we don't go now," Hermione says.

"Alright," I reply. We look around until we come across a mostly empty box. "This is the only one not taken," Hermione states. "Who even is that?" Ron asks. "Remus J. Lupin," Hermione replies. "And how'd you know that?" Ron remarks.

"It's on his bag," Hermione replies, pointing the suitcase above Prof. Lupin. "Oh," Ron states, sounding like an idiot, and probably feeling like one, too. Hermione sighs and takes a seat, Ron and I following close behind.

As the train takes off, I hold back this mornings breakfast as we speed along towards Hogwarts. "Is Sirius Black really out to kill you?" Ron asks after some silence. "Uhm, yeah," I nervously reply. Hermione notices my uneasiness with subject.

"Are you scared?" Ron continues, annoying me. "Yeah, I guess so," I reply. "They'll catch him though, right? I mean, everyone's looking for him," Hermione says. It seems she thinks my uneasiness is because of Sirius Black killing me, but it's really about him getting caught, or people finding out that I have met with him.

"Sure. Except, no one's ever broken out of Azkaban before, and he's a murderous, raving lunatic," Ron states. "Thanks Ron," I say looking him in the eye. Then suddenly, the train stops. "Why are we stopping?" Hermione asks. "We can't be there yet."

I stand up and open the door to the box we're in and peek outside. A few moments after, the train lurches sideways and I'm thrown back into my seat. The door swings shut and the lights flicker.

"What's going on?" Ron asks, sounding scared. "Dunno," I reply, attempting to stay calm. "Maybe we've broken down." Hermione and I glance at each other, then the lights go out. Ron moves over to look out the window and kicks Hermione. "Ouch! Ron that's my foot!" Hermione exclaims.

"There's something moving out there," Ron says, freaking out. Everything starts going cold, and it felt like all the happiness we'd ever felt was draining away. The water on the window froze over, and the water in the bottle beside it froze as well. The temperature in the train dropped and we could see our breath.

"Bloody hell!" Ron shouts, pulling his hand off the window. "What's happening?!" Then, a ghostly creature covered in a ragged cloak slowly opens the box door and enters. Hermione's cat hisses, and Ron's rat hides in his coat. It appears to look around until it faces me. It moves forward and opens what I think is it's mouth.

Suddenly, I feel my life draining away. Is this the end? If so, what will happen to the baby? What will happen to Draco? And Hermione? And Ron and Ginny and the Weasleys? As these thoughts run through my head, a bright light appears and chases the ghostly creature away. I don't even have a chance to see who saved me before my eyelids feel heavy. As I fall unconscious, I hear a woman scream.

I wake up to someone calling my name. "Harry are you alright?" Hermione asks, voice laced with concern. I slowly sit up as Hermione hands me my glasses. "Here, eat this. It will help," Prof. Lupin says. I turn to face him as he hands me a piece of chocolate.

My stomach starts churning at smell of the chocolate. "It's alright, it's chocolate," he assures. I must have looked at it weird. I take the chocolate from him and look at the door. "W-what was that thing?" I ask.

"It was a Dementor, one of the guards of Azkaban," Prof. Lupin explains. "But it's gone now. It was searching the train for Sirius Black. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to have a little word with the driver." He stands up. "Eat, you'll feel better," he says, then he takes his leave.
