"See, bitch, this was not a part of my plans tonight," Dyamond sighs with subtle annoyance.

THE SOUNDS OF CASSIE attempting to catch her breath to respond was very evident, "Girl, what are you talkin' about now? We've only been here thirty minutes," Cassie laughs.

"My point exactly, bitch, and you're already throwing up."

"I p—promise I'm almost done. I just need some pepto bismol and five more minutes," Cassie relayed as she wiped her mouth of excess saliva.

A sigh of nuisance released from Dyamond as she wasn't pleased to suffocate from the harsh scent— not one bit. Cassie's perfectly bronzed knees were pressed hard against the golden, marble tile of the familiar mansion owned by her boyfriend as she hovered over the toilet, constantly retching for minutes on end.

"And who in the hell is just carrying around pepto bismol?"

"And wh—who the hell wouldn't?" Cassie questioned with slurred words. Dyamond laughs, "Apparently not a drunk bitch like yourself."

Tonight was the biggest night of all nights as individuals from all over the world came in attendance for the charity of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, hosted by Cassie's boyfriend, Davinchi Y'sidro. The highly anticipated amount of guests arriving nonstop caused Dyamond's attention to linger anxiously elsewhere. As Cassie's nausea and retching finally subsided, she hovered over the sink before the grand, voice-activated mirror vanity as she begins to gargle her mouth with an antiseptic wash— though her black Saint Laurent patent leather opyum heels dragged at her ankles by the straps. Dyamond pulls her phone from her mini-clutch to check the hour, yet Ermias was still nowhere to be found.

"Looking for someone?"

Dyamond's heart nearly fell into her stomach at the comprehension of Cassie's question, "No."

"You don't have to lie," says Cassie as her lips pierced into a light smirk.

She continues, "You looking for Nip?"

Dyamond nods her head in agreement. She scrolls through their shared messages once more to mentally confirm that Ermias has yet to respond back.

"I didn't know he was coming tonight, or at least that's what Davinchi told me," said Cassie with a slight shoulder shrug.

"Hm, interesting. Do you think he could be with the actress girl?"

Unnoticeably, Cassie furred her eyebrows at oddness of Dyamond's question. "Her name is Lauren, but I wouldn't doubt it. They haven't seen each other in ten years, hell." She continues, "But Boogie did say she would be making an appearance for the sake of Vinchi's charity," Cassie speaks with a nod.

"Boogie? She's Boogie?"

"Um, yeah," Cassie responded fixing her heels. "Try not to sound so surprised," she chuckles.

"Well, I'm not s—surprised. It's just that he used always talk about a girl named Boogie and I least expected it being her."

"What makes you say that?"

"I don't know," says Dyamond. "I guess she doesn't strike me as the type who would have too good of an interest in a once-was dope dealin', delinquent, high school dropout.

Dyamond continues after taking a sip of her flute of champagne, "Oh, not to mention a baby daddy at eighteen."

"I'm sure he wasn't always like that."

"Hm... maybe."

Dyamond continues after a long pause in thought, "Hell, for a moment, I was beginning to think he didn't know what the fuck he was talkin' about," she laughs with emphasis.
