When it happens, sometimes you don't notice it. Our children and teens have been taught by society how we are supposed to be quiet. And sometimes people try to teach us that what happened to us is normal or okay.
It's not.

Due to our silence, the truth is hidden. We are hidden from others so they can put a perfect profile on us. Behind closed doors we hide and tremble in fear and nobody notices it. Some people even ignore us or refuse to believe.

But no matter what. We will speak our truth to be breaking the silence. For the new generations to come, so they dont think that this discussion is supposed to be bad.

Speaking out on what happened to you is stressful and scary. It makes us scared of the reactions we will get from our family, friends, peers, and much more close ones. Scared that they fight blame us, be insensitive, not care, or not even believe.

Even if the topic of coming out about the situation is uncomfortable, you must remember that the truth is better than silence.
