H pov"Fine day, Sunday. In my option, best day of the week," my Uncle began. " Why is that, Dudley?" He turns towards me as I handed him a biscuit off the biscuit tray. I'd already gave my greedy Aunt and the mess of her son one. I think the greed runs in the family with these lot.
"Because there's no post on Sundays?" I answered. If you couldn't tell my Uncle dreads any sort of mail or packages. The reason for that I actually don't know but it's probably because he's a lazy, selfish man who doesn't like the thought of anyone breathing the same air as him.
"Right you are, Harry!" He said as his grubby fingers picked up the a biscuit." No post on Sunday. No blasted letters today! No, sir."
As he chuckled to his own sentence, a strange figure caught my attention from the corner of my eye. Definitely not a human figure, almost like a bird? A rather large looking bird.
"Not one single bloody letter," my Uncle continued "Not one!"
My curiosity had got the best in me. Slowly pacing towards the window, a confused look plastered itself on my face. I pulled back the curtain to reveal hundreds, maybe even thousands of owls in my street. On top of roofs, cars, lampposts and even on the road. What a beautiful site. But why the hell would a load of owls be outside my door.
They were holding something, everyone of em. Like letters.
Hogwarts letters.
My recent Hogwarts letter was thrown straight into the bin only a few days ago by my Aunt. She said it was a stupid school for magic but apparently according to my Uncle 'magic isn't real.'
"No, sir, not one blasted, miserable..." but before my Uncle Vernon could finish his sentence a letter flew down the chimney and out of the fireplace hitting him in the mouth. Serves him right if I'm honest.
I turned around to see the scared look on my Aunts and Dudley's face. I knew that wouldn't be it. I tried to hide my laugh behind my hand.
To my surprise the house started to kind of shake? Tremble almost. This was going to be fun. Within milliseconds of the second letter flying in, thousands at a time flowed straight into the house. It slowly filled up the living room.
"Make it stop, please!"my cousin winded.
I couldn't hold my smile back any longer. Amazement took over me like a wash of fresh air.
"Stop it." Dudley shrieked, then he leap onto my Aunts lap like the little baby that he is. God, what a wined up he is.
I threw myself in front of the flying letters trying to catch as many as I could hold.
"Mummy, what's happening?" He yelled.
Heaven, that's how to describe it. There's no way to avoid this now is there Uncle.
I grabbed one and started running for the door.
"Give me that. Give me that bloody letter." I tried to escape but my Uncles rather large arms stopped me.
"Get off" I yelled. "There my letters! Let go of me!"
More and more started pouring through the letter box at the front door.
"THATS IT! WE'RE GOING AWAY." The words took a while to process in my head. Not that I cared for the home because I didn't at all, but how will the letters find me when we've moved. I hate him. I hate him so much, and his bloody wife and son. All of them, I hate all of them. There all the same needy pickers, no difference in any one 0f them. "Far away, where they can't find us!"
