Chapter 6: Will (y/n) and (ex-bfs name ) wake up again ? Part 2

" Vector , Charmy . Where are you guys ? " Espio asked . There was no response , there was only a faint echo of Espio's voice through the halls . Suddenly , he felt a small buzzing sensation on his hip . It was coming from his walkie - talkie that he used only on special mission . " I forgot I had this " Espio thought to himself . Espio picked it up and held down the audio button . " What is it Vector ?" Espio asked . He then let go of the walkie - talkie and waited for a reply . At first there was no reply , then after a few moments Vector replied " Im here , what do you need Espio ? " . Espio took a brief pause then he pressed the audio button on his walkie talkie again and asked " Where did you and Charmy go ? Im wandering through the halls of the palace , but I can't seem to find you guys " .All I know is that Im near the crime scene " . Espio let go of the audio button briefly to await another response . " Stay put , I'll send someone to come bring you to us " Vector replied . Espio pressed the audio button and replied " Thank you , Vector . I'll see you soon " .
( Espio's POV)
I wonder when i'll be found . Its already been at least ten minutes , how long dies it take to find someone in this place ? Oh well, i'll just meditate and purge myself of negative energy . Maybe that will allow time to pass quickly .
( Vectors POV)
What is taking Charmy and the palace guards so long ? I hope Charmy didn't drag them somewhere . Im sure that they will only be a few more minutes . But I don't think Espio will mind , especially since he's getting quality time with Princess (y/n) . He's a lucky guy , the princess sure was beautiful . I wish I could be a with a girl as beautiful as her . But I guess I should just try to ask Vanilla out instead. Ive liked her for a while , so why not ? I hope Espio gets here soon , so that way I can just focus on the case , instead of daydreaming about romance
( Charmy's POV)
Whoever those guards are , the suck at their job. Because its been a while and we still aren't back with Espio . I want to finish this mission as soon as possible . So , I hope these guards will stop getting lost , and find Espio so all of us can go back to Vector .
(Espio's POV)
I think I should stop meditating , just in case someone is close . Ive already purged my spirit of negative energy , so I no longer need to meditate . The princess ! I hope she's alright , but where is she ? I looked in every direction hoping to find her , only to find her on my lap instead . The princess is so beautiful , I wish I could be her prince instead of that other guy . He doesn't deserve to own such beauty and abuse it . I think ..... I think I should be the one to marry the princess . What am I saying ?! I just met this girl , I can't be in love already . Can't I ? Maybe , I have no idea . Every time I look at (y/n) , I feel very nervous yet excited at the same time . This could be ..... I trailed off before I kissed the unconscious princess . For a few minutes , my tongue was dancing gracefully with her's . I continued to kiss her until .... Espio , where are you ?" a deep voice echoed through the halls . " I am here with the princess! " I suddenly shouted . " Why must the guards interrupt me now ? I was really enjoying myself " I thought to myself . A few moments later , two guards approached me . " Espio are you okay? " the first guard asked me . " Yes , Im alright . Thank you " I replied causally with a small hint of annoyance . " We're sorry that we kept you waiting so long . Also , thank you very much for watching over Princess (y/n) . We will be sure to make the queen aware of your valiant deed ". Espio slightly blushed and replied " It was nothing really , I would help anyone in need of protection " . The two guards smiled , then replied " Shall we escort you back to the queen and your friends ?" . I got up off the floor , making sure the princess was not harmed in the process . I followed the guards to the a large room at the front of the castle . " Espio , your back ! " Charmy yelled as he ran up to me. He then proceeded to give me a hug. I accepted it for a few moments , then I pushed him aside . I then walked up to Vector . " Hey Espio , come here " he motioned . I followed him to find the queen , Sakura with the other handmaidens , the princes butler Keita , and the Princes parents . " Why do you have all of these people here ?" I asked Vector . Vector rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly and replied " They are all prime suspects of the crime " . " What crime ? " I asked . " They are all possibly responsible for the drowsy state of the prince and princess " Vector replied . Vector then gave me a slight grin , and started to laugh . " Whats so funny Vector ?" I asked . " Im just laughing at how close you've gotten to the princess " Vector replied while looking at the corner of my lip . I guess I got some of the princesses lip gloss on me , from when I was kissing her . " Oh really ? Well I had to protect the princess , so I figured why not bond with her " I said awkwardly . Vector said nothing and kept giggling to himself . A few moments later , he said " So , now that your back, its time to interview the suspects " . Vector then turned to the suspects and asked who would like to go first ? The queen stood up and walked over to me . " May I take her from you , Espio ?" . I bowed and replied " Of course your majesty " . The queen then took (y/n) and laid her down on a bed of the pillows on the floor . The queen then returned to Espio and said calmly " I would like to be interviewed first " . " Very well, follow us your highness " . The queen and two guards began to follow Espio and Vector . After a bit of walking , Espio and company arrived at a small room . The queen and the guards entered first , followed by Vector and Espio and the guards . After a small hiatus , the investigation began. " So queen ( your mom's name) , can you tell me and my partner everything you know about this.... incident?" Vector asked . The queen hesitated for a moment , then replied " I was the one who locked the Princess and the Prince in the altar room " . Vector gasped , while Espio just nodded silently . " How could you , your highness ? " Vector asked in a shocked tone . " I wanted to force the two of them to fall in love ...... so that way they can get married and unite our kingdoms ." Queen ( mothers name ) sighed . Then she continued " But that's all I know ...... you would have to interview the other suspects to get the rest of the story . Espio sighed and replied " Very well, thank you for your time your majesty " .
