After running for what seemed like decade you and Rafe made it to a safe space in the outerbanks. Somewhere , where no one would find either of you. Your hands both sweaty from holding onto eachother.

"Rafe, let's stop for a little bit , yeah?"

you say out of breathe, for the first time in forever you let go of him and crouch down while placing both of your hands on your knees. Rafe on the other hand is running his hands through this hair to reach the back of his neck to breathe out.

"You alright Sunny?"

"Yeh just tired"

you say spinning ur finger in a circle to show how sweaty your face also was. Your cheeks were a rose red but you didn't know if it was from running or from Rafe calling you Sunny.

"Why do you call me Sunny?"

"Well, what do else do you want me to call you? The last day of the week? the day everyone dreads cause school is the next day?"

he laughs at his own jokes

"No, Sunny is okay"

you say with a little smile while turning around and taking in your surroundings, the large dark oak trees towering over the both of you, the sun beaming down through the holes onto the road like a spotlight on a stage. If you stood in the middle of one you would soon feel like a movie star. Rafe suggested that walking away from town was the best idea so for around another hour you both find a small gas station. Rafe also brought some money so we could survive long enough by ourselves.

"What do you want to eat Reed?"

he said holding the door open for you while a bell rang through your ears.

"Um, a sandwich is fine"

Currently you are both sat on a step eating with eachother company.

"Where are we actually going? and what are we actually doing?"

you say taking another bite of your sandwich.

"Sunny , we could also go get the gold from Nassau, get married like my sister has to that john b bloke and then start our new life's together..."
