I woke up feeling . ‘Hey! You’re alive!’
I stood up from the couch after I saw what time it was, “I need to get ready or I’ll be late for my sister’s wedding.”
Yes, my sister’s wedding. I’m totally fine with her marrying, after all he’s like a brother I’ve never had. He has always been there for me, on my good and bad times. But he’s not the problem. His sister, my ex-best friend is.
Roxy and I have been best friends since Kindergarten. All the way to middle school but while it was our last year if middle school, my ex-boyfriend cheated on me with her. I found out they had been dating behind my back for six months.
‘Don’t tell me you’re thinking about that jerk again.’ Said Melissa. She reappeared with a pink sparkly mini dress in her hand ‘what do you think of this?’
Light pink has always been Mel’s color. We just have to do some light makeup since there will be makeup artists.
‘Looks great. How about some white heels…?’ She thought of this ‘Yes! I need to impress Jake so he would stop ignoring me’
Turning around I look her in the eyes with a surprised face. ‘Jake’s coming? Careful. Roxy is after Jake now’ Mel fumed, ‘-are you okay? I mean this must be hard for you’ she pulled me to sit on the bed. ‘I mean after everything…’
Melissa is amazing, even if I put up a smile on my face she knows that it is fake. She leaned to me and said ‘but you can always slap her in front of the paparazzi…maybe that’ll teach her a lesson!’ I laughed it off. Maybe. But I can’t and won’t, I’m just not the type to slap others just because she stole my boyfriend.
At the wedding things were still being prepared. Scarlett is in her wedding dress, ready to go and Ethan, my soon-to-be brother in law is talking to some guest.
I gotta say the wedding was beautiful and all but the after party was wild. After dancing a while my legs started to hurt so Ii went to the garden to get some fresh air.
‘Brother…when will you sing again?’ that cute, innocent voice.
