Chapter 2 The First Ribbon

Poppy picked up her school bag and slung it over her shoulder. "Come on Billy, you're going to make us late for the bus!" Poppy shouted. "Yes I'm coming god!" he shouted back. Billy came rushing down the steps almost losing his balance. "ok I'm ready let's go". As they headed out the door to the bus something caught Poppy's eye. A red ribbon was caught in a Bush, as she was about to grab it she saw the bus heading their way so she left It. Poppy grabbed Billy's arm and ran to The bus stop. Betty opened the front door with a cup of coffee in hand. As she saw poppy and Billy head on the bus she saw the same red ribbon poppy saw. Betty peeked her head out the front door and snatched the ribbon out the Bush and stuffed it in her pocket then slammed her door shut. 'click,click,click' all her locks went on the door. Betty rushed to the fireplace in the living room and started the fire. As the fire started to burn she threw the ribbon in it and let it burn.
