The early evening sun was a welcoming warmth as the two rode steadily down the trail. The ride back to camp wasn't the longest, but it was made a lot longer when trudging along at such a slow pace. But Lisa didn't want to risk the sleeping blonde slipping from her saddle, though a part of her wished the ride could hurry up and be over.
Considering her newest acquaintance has yet to stop talking.
Lisa sucked in a breath as she tuned out the woman's explanations of how to best handle a stubborn horse and proper use of tack, even though her horse appeared to be the most stubborn of 'em all. She was at least thankful this Jisoo woman loved horses, over other, more annoying things.
You wouldn't believe the amount of women who just couldn't get enough of their 'loving' husbands, and have had this urge to tell the world, or especially her, about it.
She chuckled to herself at a few keep-worthy memories, before turning her attention to the landscape. Offering a hum every now and then in response to Chu, as she watched the well forested land of Stormwater slowly fade into that of a sparse treed Piercing County Grasslands. And nestled between a few hills and thin trees, was the camp in which she'd been staying at.
For far longer than she first thought she would.
"You know, I never got the chance to thank you properly."
"Hm?" Lisa snapped back to the deep brunette.
"I never thanked you, for coming with me."
"I believe you did? Once before Stormwater Pines, and a couple while we were there."
"Those were for your actions. I want to thank you for having the heart to help a stranger." Jisoo smiled. "The world needs more people like you."
"Doubt that." She replied without any second thought. "But uh... thank you, regardless."
Chu shook her head. "Look, I don't know if you were only helpin' me out because you're Asian too, or because you expected a reward... which I honestly don't believe either of those. But even if one or both is true, you still helped unlike the others. And for that, I already know this world needs more folk like you." Jisoo looked to Roseanne. "And I think Rosie would agree too."
Lisa nodded her head, honestly unsure why she had helped to begin with, if it wasn't out of pure curiosity. But seeing how much Jisoo cares for Roseanne... well, I guess it feels reasonably worth it.
She may have felt inclined enough to offer a better thank you, but the blue roan Stang Jisoo was on decided to have another fit. Chu calling to her over the grunts that she was gonna let him run off some steam, before taking off down the road, and leaving nothin' but a blazing trail behind her.
"Crazy horse..." Lisa sighed. Lifting a hand, she swatted away the dust before returning it to where it had been resting on Roseanne's back. Her eyes following her movements and coming to a stop on the blonde's features.
