the past is stupid (Brightwin)

Win walked out of his classes with his friends not really watching where he was going, he was laughing about something they had said when he bumped into someone making them fall. He turned to them ''oh shit! sorry are you okay?'' he asked helping the other fall. He looked at who it was and it was someone he didnt know. It was a boy not much shorter than he was, who had brown hair, brown eyes, and had his ears pierced with some basic circle earrings in them. ''its okay, im fine, thanks'' He said before grabbing his bag and walking away. Win watched as he left him standing there. He wore Blue jeans with a Black sweater and his backpack had couple pins on it which had some band names on them. His friends looked at Win scoffing before leaving to their table. Once Win couldnt see the mysterious boy anymore he turned to see his friends gone. He ran to the table frowning ''you guys left me?'' he said with one of his friends Nine spoke up ''you were staring at that boy, we didnt want to stand there for five minutes'' he said with his other friend Peak adding on  ''yeah, you were looking at him as if it was love at first sight''. Win let out a breathy chuckle nodding sitting down ''love at first sight doesnt even exist, as if id like someone like that'' he said with both boys hitting Wins head ''whatever, your last relationship was with someone almost identical to who that guy was'' he said making Win remember his last relationship which was back in middle school, grade 8 to be exact ''what was his name again?'' ''Bright, his name was Bright'' Win said. Peak smiled remembering him ''oh yes, he lived on the other side of town'' ''wasnt he the one who got you to tell your parents that you were bi?' his friends went on making Win have flashbacks to when he was with Bright.

Flashback

''Win, you have to tell them eventually, you might as well do it while you are dating me'' Bright said holding onto Wins hand. Win looked down ''I want to tell them but wont they hate me?'' he said making Bright shake his head ''no no i came out to my parents last year, they were a little confused but were happy i came out overall''. Win looked up at Bright ''what if i get disowned?'' ''you'll come stay with me and my family!, they wont mind'' Bright replied.

Win walked home after school with his friends Nine and Peak ''where did you go during second break?'' ''we didnt see you until our class started'' they said ''oh i uh was with Bright''. Peak nodded already knowing that the two boys were dating but Nine didnt have a clue. ''why Bright hes too quiet'' Peak elbowed Nine ''shut up'' ''he isnt quiet, hes really intrested in bands, he even told me about this band Endorphine who were a group when we were younger'' Win said looking at his house ''okay bye Win, also that band sounds lame'' Nine said walking ahead. Peak turned to Win ''they sound cool, ignore our loser friend here'' He said going with Nine walking home. Win walked into the house seeing his parents, he remembered what Bright told him and walked to them. ''hey hun how was school?'' his mom said handing her son a drink of water. Win took a drink of it ''it was good, i uh i have something to tell you and dad'' he said making his father look up from his phone ''what is it? did you fail a test?'' his dad asked making Win shake his head ''no no nothing wrong with school, its more about my uh sexuality...'' he said making his mom nod but his dad tilt his head ''what are you coming out as gay to us?'' he said with Win once again shake his head ''no im Bisexual'' Win said with his mom going around the table giving him a hug. ''oh i mean i had a feeling but im happy you told us for yourself'' his mom said. His dad on the other hand didnt get the meaning ''Bisexual?'' ''it means he liked both boys and girls babe'' his mom answered for him. Win felt relived that he told his parents with them having a good reaction. he ran upstairs grabbing his phone and called Bright but no answer. Win waited a few minutes for the other to call back. he texted him instead telling him that his parents accepted him. He went back downstairs to see his Mother cooking dinner and his Dad watching Golf, he went and sat beside him watching the sport as well. a few days go by and hes back at school he saw Bright and smiled going up to him ''hey, you didnt text me back the other day'' Win said with Bright responding with ''i got my phone taken away, sorry'' he said in a monotone voice. ''oh its fine, did you have a good weekend?'' Win asked with Bright shaking his head. Win nodded not knowing what to say  ''im going to a different high school than you'' Bright said making Win freeze and hold Brights hand stopping him from walking ''what why?'' Win said. ''my mom doesnt want to pay for the bus routes all year again, she'd rather me go to the high school near my house'' he said. Win hugged Bright tightly ''but we had a plan!'' he said with Bright hugging back ''i know, its my moms fault'' Win nodded ''so are we going to hang out other places instead of at school once this year ends?'' Bright shook his head ''after school ends i probably wont see you anymore'' he said making Win tear up ''you can live with me and my parents!'' he said with Bright shaking his head once more ''Win i cant you know this, we'll break up on the last day of school and that will be it'' Bright said making Win shaking his head quickly ''no im not doing that with you'' Win said. Bright shook his head ''then to cut the sadness from both of us, we'll break up now'' Bright said walking away leaving Win crying. Win stood there until Nine found him ther. ''Win! what happened?!?'' he said hugging the other. Peak came from the other direction just happened to pass by a crying Bright. he connected the pieces quickly and ran to find Win ''hey Win, shh its okay you dont need to cry'' he said making Win shake his head ''we arent going to the same high school, he broke up with me'' he said making Nine confused ''you were dating someone?'' ''yes he was dating Bright for almost a year man no shh'' Peak said.

''Win?'' Nine said moving his hand in front of the others face making him come out of his thoughts ''huh? are we gonna get food or what?'' he said standing up. ''Oh yeah i guess we should do that'' he said standing up with Peak following the two to the food line up. They were lining up waiting for the line to move. they started filling there trays with the School lunch, they didnt really like it but theyd rather use the free school lunch than buy there own from one of the fast food places around the school. They sat back down eating there food. Win couldnt stop thinking of Bright someone he hadnt really thought about for the past 3 years. Peak noticed this ''hey forget about him, im sorry for bringing him up'' he said making Win nod and start eating. a few days pass by and he started thinking of Bright more and more, he tries finding his Instagram account by using the old username he had, only to find out the account doesnt exist anymore. He tried just using his full name to find an account. He looked thru it finding out that it was Brights, he smiled looking at him. he thought he had had a glow up making him a few inches taller maybe about 5'11 now and let his hair grow out slightly leaving it down. He shut off his phone deciding not to follow the other on the app. He went to school noticing that his friends were watching the kid he had ran into closely ''whats up? what you guys looking at?'' he asked turning his head to see the kid talking to some old friends of Wins, Prem and Mean. ''you remember those kids?''  Peak said with Win nodding ''yeah i hung out with them in middle school'' he said. Nine added on ''hes talked to Poy and Captian as well'' Win tilted his head thinking it was a weird situation, the new kid would only talk to his old friends. ''has he talked to saint or even Dome?'' he asked naming kids he knew in middle school. Peak nodded ''he spoke to Dome yesterday while you were in Gym'' He tilted his head ''whatever i have class its just a weird coincidence'' Win said walking away and going to his class.

After school he met up with his friends once more ''so you guys done stalking the New kid?'' Win said with both boys look at him ''Win we have some news'' Peak said with Nine adding on ''you wont like it'' he said making Win face them ''are you going to tell me that the new kid is supposedly Bright the kid who caused my First and only heartbreak? the boy who made me come out to my parents then make me cry for days? or the kid who liked soccer and stupid bands that dont exist anymore?'' he said sounding more and more sarcastic as he spoke. Peak cleared his throat stopping Win from continuing ''yes the new kid is Bright, he only knows the kids from middle school thats why hes talking to them, he spoke to us while we were in math class'' Nine joined in the situation ''he wants to talk to you but is scared to see you once more, since you know middle school'' he said making Win nod ''if he wants to talk to me he can, i dont care about our old relationship, it was baby love nothing serious'' Win said making his friends sigh nodding ''ill tell him'' Peak said as they walked home. Win sat on his couch seeing his parents in the kitchen with his younger brother. they were making cupcakes ''Win! Win! look cupcakes!'' his brother said he showed him the batter. the evening ended with Win and his family having cupcakes. ''i made a new friend today too Win!, his name is Frank, he has an older brother your age!'' he said making Win stop eating ''Bright?'' he said with his brother nodding ''Oh! isnt he the one from your middle school?'' his mother asked with Win nodding ''im going to bed now goodnight guys'' he said walking upstairs not wanting to talk about Bright or his family..
