The next morning, Truly carefully pries herself out of Kade's arms. It's one of the rare mornings that she actually wakes up first. She isn't sure if it was Kade's training with her grandfather, or just the stress over the last few weeks that has made him extra tired, or possibly both.

Truly doubts he'll sleep much longer, so she quickly grabs a shower. Once dressed, she starts his disgusting coffee and breakfast for them. While the coffee brews, and the rice steams, Truly gets started on Coco's mixture of fruits, nuts, and bugs for her morning meal while Navi impatiently waits with his food bowl in his mouth.

"I haven't forgotten ye," Truly glances down at him. "Ye and Petals are next, luv."

Coco loudly chirps as she dips her little hand into her breakfast bowl, not waiting for Truly to finish prepping. "Ye are a delight yeself t'is mornin', young lady." She gives the little monkey a small glare and tosses a few berries into the bowl.

A loud bang from the front door makes her jump until Brody's gruff voice soon follows. "Tru! Get yer arse up."

Jarred awake, Kade jumps to his feet as his instincts to protect kicks in, causing him to grab his spare cutlass he'd brought from his island from beside the bed. Dressed in only his sleeping shorts, he storms out of the room, his eyes instantly finding Truly to ensure she's safe before his gaze turns to the threat only to find her brother. "Brody," he greets, his voice deep from sleep before he puts his cutlass away and retrieves his coffee from the kitchen. "Glad ye could join us." Striding over to them, Kade slides his free arm around Truly's stomach and pulls her back against him. "Thanks for starting me coffee," he places a small kiss against the side of her neck before he breathes her in. Her alluring smell instantly makes his pupils dilate as his siren hormones scream he should take her and bed her to ensure she's with child. Fuck me sideways.

Brody steps into the open living room and tosses his overnight bag on a nearby wicker chair. "Wish I could say ta same." Brody's silver gaze drops to Truly. "Why are ye always me biggest pain in the arse? I t'ought ye jist wanted an interpreter."

Truly rolls her eyes. "We do."

Brody raises a brow before he obviously sniffs the air. "Ye reek, ye ain't jist wantin' me for me Atlantean." He walks over to the other matching chair and plops down into it. Navi happily prances over for pets before Brody shoots the dog a glare that stops Navi in his tracks.

"No, I never said I wanted ye just for that." Kade agrees as his eyes flick to his wife, knowing she left that tidbit out so the man wouldn't refuse.

Truly pats her legs to gain Navi's attention and comforts the poor boy after the heartbreaking rejection. "I'll make ye tea."

Letting her reluctantly go to the kitchen, Kade moves to sit on the couch swing. "No one told me about the interesting culture differences down there until yesterday and I still don't know enough about it or the language to protect her properly." Taking a sip of his coffee, Kade forces himself not to cringe in front of Brody. "I need yer help. I can't guarantee I'll keep me head with them all around her since I only turned a few days ago. Yer family's the only ones I trust, the only I've been around turned and with her, well... Like this." He nods to her in the kitchen. "I know yer quick witted and fast on your feet. I saw it on the Devil's Sapphire. I realize it's far from convenient, but I appreciate yer help in this."
