Wish Upon A Dying Star

Chapter 1

Elara

Standing on the edge of this building one foot in the air one foot on the hard roof. As I take the leap I hear someone gasp from behind me as I turn while falling I see it's Owen. He runs to the edge to try and pull me back up but it's too late.

As I'm falling I finally feel at peace wind rushing in my face I scream the words I never had the courage to say before "NO ONE CARES ABOUT ME". Before I knew it I was 8 feet from the ground then 7 feet then 6 then....thud

I feel a throbing pain in my head and realize I'm still alive, part of me is a little ok with it because I realized my cat would be sad without me. But then I questioned myself how am I still alive I try to open my eyes. I can barley get them to open but it worked I see the ambulance as I'm getting wheeled into it I look up at the building and cry because it didn't work.

OMG I thought as I see a familiar person step off the roof I race over there but it's to late she falls I panic and call 911
911:what's your emergency
Owen: HELP SOMEONE STEPPED OF THE BUILDING
911:okay where is the location and do you know who this person is

(I'm skipping to after the call)

I race down the buildings stairs meeting the ambulances and police down there I tell them what I saw and they ask me to go in the ambulance with the girl incase I do actually know her. And I can help I dentify her. As we're in the ambulances I can see her looking around in sorrow she seems to be sad I wonder if I could help. But I couldn't do anything right now cause the sirens are to loud and is drifting in and out.

Once we're at the hospital they ask my relations with the girl and I tell them about why I'm there so they let me in the room as I go through Instagram hoping I find her somewhere cause she looks around my age. Finally I go to one of my friends account named Gia and she had a photo with this girl so I screenshoted the photo and asked Gia for the girls parents number. Gia seemed confused but gave it to me so I dialed the number and waited.........it took them forever to answer but they eventually did.

Owen=O
EP= "hello who is this" says a woman
O= "this is Owen I need you to come to the hospital right now its about your daughter" etc.. (he fills them in)
End of call

Elaras parents arrived in a rush I see 6 kids behind them 5 boys 1 girl I figure they must be her siblings. I also see Gia rushing in, when Gia turns and sees me she rushing over and Elaras parents follow. I tell them what happened and they thank me for calling 911 then they rush in to see Elara whos resting cause it's 4am. As I get ready to go Elaras parents ask if I could stay since they have to go to work early and take there other kids home. I agree since I don't have anything better to do, after they leave Gia comes up to me and says "I'll stay with you I think Elara might want to see her bestfriend when she wakes up" I agree and nod. The nurse brings in blankets for me and Gia and we both lay on a couch and instantly Gia falls asleep but I cant sleep.

A little after 6am I look at Elara and see her eyes open I jumped up and go to talk to her I ask "are you okay" she nodded yes. I asked her a few more questions and then she didn't thank me after I told her how I called 911 but I guess it kinda makes sense I mean she had to jump for a reason.
