"Happy Birthday Sloth!!!" Ciara shouted in the hallway.
Yup, it's Nathan's birthday.
We're all gathered in front of his lockers screaming a happy birthday. Well, not me.
Now, everybody is looking at me. Ciara and Jay looked at each other and smirked at me. Of course I know why they're staring at me. I have to say happy birthday to Nathan.
I pulled a note out of my pocket that reads: Happy Birthday. Have a great one.
I handed it to him. He smiled in response.
"Oh come on! Seriously? Give up already! Talk!" Ciara groan in frustration and walked away with Jay.
I giggled.
"So, your grandad's at 5 today?" Tom asked. "I don't want you cancelling, I've been waiting patiently to swim" He continued with a serious expression.
"Yeah, it's still on." I nodded, slightly laughing.
"Thank you! I love you!" Tom hugged me and kissed me all over my face. I pushed him and he almost tripped.
RIIIIIIIINNNGGGGGGGG
After the bell rang, we said goodbye and Lily and I walked to class together.
"Is Alex coming?" She suddenly asked.
"Um, yeah" I said quietly.
She wiggled her eyebrows. I rolled my eyes.
"Is it okay to have him there? He's like a... 'stranger'" I air quoted stranger.
"It's fine. Nath may be socially awkward but he likes to make new friends"
"True" I said, sitting at my desk.
Oh, obviously, most of you want to know what happened after the date.
Well, if you're wondering, we're not 'boyfriend and girlfriend'. He said we would be when we have our second date.
We haven't had our second date yet since he's so busy with his work. He's working on the movie he talked about when we first met. We still text each other though.
Class started and I don't understand anything this substitute is teaching. I looked at Lily and she had a confused expression on her face.
For the first time, class was fast. Phew.
I got all my classes with Lily today. And one of them with Ciara.
After school, me and Ciara had archery practice. If you're asking how the archery club is, it's AWESOME!
We were both practicing when my phone buzzed. Thank god our trainer isn't here yet.
I didn't exactly hear it, so Ciara nudged me. "Kay, your phone"
"Oh really?" I said while walking to the bench where my phone was. I know, you must be thinking 'Why on earth would she just leave her phone out in the open like that?!' It's fine, I trust the people in the archery club.
Alex had texted me:
Alex: Is it ok if I'm a bit late? My shoot doesn't end til 5.30.
I quickly text him back
Me: Sure.It's cool
After sending that text, I picked up my bow and arrow and continued practicing with Ciara.
"Who was that?" She asked, her eyes still focused on the target.
"Alex. He said he'll come late" I answered her, releasing my arrow which almost hit the target. "Dang it!" I said under my breath. I can't hit the target. Why?
